Ugh, I didn't go to bed until late last night, and since I got up early yesterday, I feel really tired this morning. (Even after getting up late.)
Anyway, I've got a brunch to go to. I guess I'll be taking the side streets down.

I'm finally upgrading Yavin to XP. Finally. Of course, it's taking me all day to update the OS, but it gave me time to finish up with Homeworld 2. Apparently, after that crazy mission which took me forever to finish, the rest of the game was pretty straightforward. Nothing too bad there.
I sat around to look through the credits and ButtChunk's name popped up near the end. I wasn't quite sure if he'd show up, but it's good to see him get some credit.

Oh yeah, since I had so much trouble installing Homeworld 2 on my system, and the fact that it doesn't exactly work well (and slow as snot although playable) I'm probably going to take it off and sell the game. It was fun though, although they did screw around with the canon a little bit.

The plan for today was to go out to brunch down at the Hothouse. I set my alarm to go off at ten so that I could get downtown on time (since I went to bed at five - ugh - I should stop doing that).
Anyway, I got up (sort of) and then the phone rang. It was girl. She told me that they were running a little late, so I could sleep in a bit. Oh goody.
<- falls back into bed.
Not long after, there was another call. Apparently the Hothouse was a popular joint, and you need to book a spot four days in advance for busy times like today. Four days?!? Holy crap! The fallback plan was to go to the Chinese restaurant near us instead. At least I didn't have to drive..
Anyway, the usual suspects arrived for lunch (Dangerman, girl, Growly, SJ, Laz, Tenshi, and S) and we ate our fill (except me who had to finish off all the food - urp). Dangerman wanted to go Go Karting, but I'm trying to cut down on my spending, and I needed to install XP so I stayed home.
Oh yeah, we had fun with the family room lights. *nods*
Oh yeah, I stalled the car too. Forgot to turn off the engine before letting go of the clutch. What the heck was I thinking?!?

I forgot, I renamed Yavin.
Yavin was originally named by GBC when I had my computer in the lab when I was doing grad work at UW. I put my computer in place of Yavin, and for the network to recognzie my machine, I had to change my machine name to Yavin. After that, I stuck with the name. I decided to start using ancient cities for computer names since these computers are definitely ancient..
