[11:40 AM EDT - He's dead Jim.]

I think it's toast. The CD-RW that is. After making two coasters, it decided to go TU on me and the computer can't recognize the device anymore. That's quite annoying since I wanted to burn all of those files. Maybe that week-long stretch where I kept the computer on during a heat wave may have been the last straw. Ah well, that writer's had problems for a long time now, at least now I have incentive to look for a new recording device.

It's quite curious that this would happen soon after talking about CD-RWs yesterday. Well, more like listening. I don't think I was doing that much talking. =)

[12:57 PM EDT - It's all reconciled.]

Hey, I guess being an accountant isn't so bad so long as everything is accounted for right? *pulls at hair*

Well, I finally reconciled the books and things look a lot cleaner now. Of course, there's all of these floating cheques that I don't have records of that's bothering me..

[3:17 PM EDT - And I still haven't eaten anything yet.]

Well, I went to get my tire fixed (again) and went to the same place (again). I got to the shop and was curious as to why all of the doors were open. Entering the store, I noticed that there was a big fan blowing air out of the building. Strange..

I got in line to get my tire fixed and the guy recognized me. I asked how long it would be, and he told me that I was the next in line (other people who came in were told two to three hours). Sweet! So I decided to hang around for a bit. While I was waiting, I overheard that there was some sort of gas leak before, and had to close the store down. Well, apparently the fire deparment was coming back and they were closing the store down. Again.

<- looks around.

Waitaminute.. I'm still in the store. Well, they kicked everyone out of the store, including me. But since the shop was okay, my car could still be worked on. Whew! So they gave me a chair and I waited outside while my tire was repaired. I watched as the fire truck came and went and came back again.

I have no idea what was going on, but the tire was fixed pretty quickly and I took off.

On the way back, I came across a traffic slowdown and a lot of cops as they were watching over some sort of parade that was taking place. It looked kind of interesting but I was in a rush so I didn't really pay any attention.

Okay, now I'm really late. I just got the directions to the house (funny how my name was not on the list) so I should be able to find my way there..

[11:23 PM EDT - They're all responding.]

Holy.. I've been getting e-mail from people I haven't heard from in ages! Jules is in Japan, VanPi is going to Hawaii, and CJF is going to Japan. While I'm going to.. work. Waitaminute..

My tire's still leaking. Argh! This is really irritating me! I don't have time to bring it in to get it fixed time and again. I'm going to have to watch them repair the leak this time.

I went to Tenshi's BBQ thing. It was pretty good. I saw KT again (although didn't talk much) and saw some new people. (Apparently Tenshi's other friends. Yeah, other friends. That's a first. =)

I ended up taking the side roads up to Tenshi's place, which was actually a good idea. I don't think it's much faster, but I did get to drive down the routes I took when I was younger and only had access to two wheels. I even remember the first time we went to Musselman's lake and missed the turn. I drove down the road and realized how far off the path we were. Holy crap, we biked a lot back then didn't we? Huh HKL? *nudge*

[11:58 PM EDT - News Bytes: XP Trust.]

I've been lagging behind on news, but I came across two articles on ArsTechnica that interested me. The first is about Extreme Programming which DeeL and OMok use at their company. The second is a possible history of "In God We Trust".
