[10:30 AM EDT - And then there was one..]

One more stream to download and then I'll be done! Woot! Then I can give my computers a rest and see how I can archive those files.

It's yet another hot and hazy one out there today. The chances of rolling blackouts is a lot higher because of all of this heat. I also got those bank statements so I can clean up the finances. That's strange, I keep dealing with money, but it's usually never mine. Maybe I should've been an accountant?

[1:26 PM EDT - Going down to the centre.]

I guess I've got something to do for Saturday! Hopefully it doesn't rain.. *looks at sky*

Speaking of which, there are showers forecasted for later today. Will this mean that I might miss yet another game of ultimate?

[3:00 PM EDT - Sassy spearmint.]

Apparently sassy can be used as a derogatory term. Anyway, I couldn't find any bubble gum flavoured gum at the convenience shop I got in so I picked up some spearmint flavoured gum. Man, I haven't had spearmint in years!

[Friday, August 22, 2003: Ultimate Storm.]

I finally got rid of that free Subway submarine sandwich thing from my wallet. I've been holding on to it for many, many years. I have no idea what prompted me to keep it, but it finally paid off when I got my "free" foot long. The cashier wasn't all too happy when I presented the card(s), and was indigint at not giving me a new one ("We don't have any." was the reply) so I left it at that.

Ultimate was okay. We were missing a lot of players, but we had a couple of guys come out of the woodwork. I don't think we really needed them since we pounded the other team to bits. Heck, I didn't even run all that much! Considering that we tied them last time, I was surprised that we did so well this time without some of our best players. Afterward, LY, Pokey, MH, and his friend came out to dinner. The food was okay, although expensive. What was really noticeable was the fact that during the entire meal, I could see light flashes outside of the window. As our meal progressed, the flashes became brighter and more frequent. By the time we were finishing up, I could start making out bolts of lightning, and as we paid the bill, the thunder started roaring over us. As we stepped outside, the rain started to fall, and the moment I got in my car, we had a torrential downpour (with constant lightning and thunder in the background). That was cool, ableit dangerous. I was a little low on gas, so I decided to fill up despite the constant lightning. I was a little worried that a freak lightning strike might send me to kingdom come, but I figured that I wouldn't be concious when it happened. (Not like I was spraying gas all over my car and daring the storm to light it up.)

I got home safe and sound and LY called me up to see if I was okay. (I was okay.)

My downloads had been completed so I'll be burning them on Friday. Hopefully I'll be able to get enough of them off my computer(s) to start downloading those Debian CDs.
