[2:47 PM EDT - More script changes]

I've been doing a few more tweaks here and there and hopefully I'll have everything cleaned up and done soon. Whenever soon is.

Argh! These single quotes and line breaks are killing me!

[4:32 PM EDT - Disabling buttons.]

I'm trying to disable these form buttons to prevent multiple entry. Argh, but they don't seem to work the way I want them to..

[6:37 PM EDT - Well there you go.]

I've been working on the disabling button issue and another bug I came across and I realized that both were related. I'm using two INPUT buttons with the same name, and that plays havoc with javascript. (Not to mention makes some things a little ambiguous.) Anyway, I'll have to find a way around this because I use one to preview the information while the other is used to submit directly. I may just make it default to preview all the time, but I don't like that idea either.

Anyway, my mom bought me a new bag. Yay. She then asked me if I had found my backpack, which I hadn't. So I told her,

"It's not in this room."

*looks down*

Son of a motherless goat.. At my feet, next to my hockey equipment, was my backpack. Eh.. heh. I guess it was buried under all of my equipment all this time! Argh! Either I need a bigger room, or I need a place to store my equipment. (Preferably dry and cool.)

[7:15 PM EDT - This should do it.]

Okay, I think I've figured out this disable button thing. I think I got the preview thing working as well as well as fixing that little bug I found. All I need to do now is test it.

[7:56 PM EDT - Going shopping?]

I'm planning on going downtown to shop for new cleats tomorrow. It should get me out of the house and give me something to do other than stare at a computer screen all day.

[Tuesday, August 5, 2003: Settlers Revolution.]

I got a call from Laz informing me that Dangerman and girl were interested in playing Settlers of Catan. The idea was to borrow VW's copy of the game and play it at Laz's place. So I called in to see if we could borrow it, and after a bit of work (on VGAP and my scripts) I headed up to pick up the game.

When I arrived at the house, I was a little surprised to see Dangerman's car there and when I got in, I saw that VW and DL were both playing Dance Dance Revolution! (With Dangerman looking on.)

Since girl was busy conversing ("gabbing" as Dangerman would say), I decided to watch the dancers dance (and add my own commentary). During the song selection, I saw one title for Tribal Dance and asked VW if this was the same one by 2 Unlimited. He gave me a strange look and said "who?". I did some quick mental calculation and realized that he probably was still in diapers when this song came out, so I asked DL if she had heard of 2 Unlimited. She shook her head.

<- suddenly feels old.

Dangerman knew who I was talking about, and I was definitely not young when this song came out. DL was at least past puberty when the song was out, and 2 Unlimited was fairly popular if only briefly. (I won't even ask if they heard of Queen.)

Anyway, after waiting for a while (and playing a round or two of DDR) we finally headed off to Laz's place with VW and game in tow. The game itself was still in it's original plastic wrap. JW said that it was too complicated and too long to play so they never played the game. What kind of excuse is that?!?

Okay, back to the game. We made it to Laz's place where the five of us played a game. It was pretty good. Laz and I kept our eyes on each other because we were probably the best players in the game, but as always, neither of us won! Argh!

Afterward, Laz and I watched the alternate ending for "24" and I showed him my VGAP game.

On the way back home, I was zooming past the highway intersection and noticed a police cruiser waiting at the intersection. As soon as I passed through the intersection, I saw in my rear view mirror the cruiser's lights suddenly turn on and the cop started to drive in my direction! As I was the only car on the street, I didn't like the looks of that. *looks at speedometer*

Strange, I'm going right at the speed limit. The car wasn't making any strange noises and I didn't make any strange faces at the cops, so why would they want to chase me?

Looking into the rear view mirror again, I noticed that the flashing lights were off and the cruiser was quickly catching up to me. I let the cop pass and gave a sigh of relief. I caught up to the cop at the next intersection and while I was waiting, the lights on the cruiser flared to life again and the cop went through the red light! No wonder why he turned on his lights the first time!

Ironically enough, during both times, the lights had changed immediately after he had crossed the street. What a waste. *shakes head*
