[12:10 AM EDT - A little earlier tonight.]

I'm going to try to go to bed a little earlier tonight than usual. I'm feeling awfully tired for some reason.

[11:51 PM EDT - Beer survey.]

KB sent me a link to a beer survey that he was asked to do by a youth culture researcher. I personally don't drink alcohol so I can't really take the survey.

[11:54 PM EDT - Busy busy.]

What a busy day. I never did go to bed early yesterday, but I intend to today. Alright, I've got to update today's entry, and finish off another entry, and reply to e-mail, and do some other chores..

Anyway ultimate was pretty good. We had a number of players on the DL, but we still had a pretty good game. The knee's holding up pretty well methinks.

[Saturday, August 9, 2003: Trapped!]

I forgot to mention what happened at work today. I was called out to a client site at the last minute for some issues they wanted to discuss, so I drove down there and found the place without a problem. Finding a parking spot was another story, but I found space on the street.

Anyway, the people there were pretty nice, and I got in and wrote down a list of their issues. Anyway, I usually work until six, so when people started leaving at five, I asked how long I could stay to look at these issues, and one of them told me that it's usually okay so long as people are still here and the gate was open. *looks outside* Okay.

So I started running some tests for a little while and after a little while, I heard a door slam and it got really quiet. *pause for dramatic effect*

I decided to go upstairs to see if anyone was still around. Hmm, not a soul. At that moment, a high pitched whine pierced the air, and I rushed downstairs to find the source. It was coming from what looked like an alarm box. Alarmed, I looked outside at the gate. It was closed. Argh! I looked around the office again to see if there was anyone I might've missed (like some deaf guy who was asleep under the couch). Nothing. I looked around for numbers I could call and found only one. Too bad he wasn't picking up his phone, so I left a message and waited patiently. After around ten minutes, my patience was wearing a little thin, so I packed up my stuff and went out of the office and into the vestibule. As I tried the door outside, I realized that it was locked. So I tried to unlock it. The lock didn't work. Oh goody. I tried jiggling it, and turning it. Apparently it wasn't part of the locking mechanism, so I decided to go back into the office to wait. That door was locked. Great. I stood around in the hot and stuffy vestibule wondering what I would do next. I started calling MR to see what his suggestion would be when I saw somebody drive up to the front door. I'm saved! I was let out of the building and I quickly got out of there before I was locked back inside again. Whew! I'll remember that being overly discrete doesn't always have it's advantages.
