[12:50 AM EDT - Ultimate stones.]

Hey, I finally picked up that Rolling Stones ticket tonight. Now all I need to do is ask for the day off..

Erm.. cutting it kind of close ain't I?

Anyway, ultimate was pretty good. I recognized a couple of the players from the other team, and we had a very casual win. After a few hard points, we played so casually! I like casual games. They're so much more entertaining.

We also started car pooling for ultimate. Since LY and I both play on two of the teams (while MH plays on two with me and three with LY) it made sense that we try to save on gas (and help the environment) by going in one car. Pokey came along too.

I definitely have to get my car checked over this weekend. I need to get the oil changed, rotate the tires, check the fluids, etc.

[11:06 AM EDT - Tailing cops.]

Heh. I forgot to mention last night that on the way to Whitby, I got onto the highway and was confused as to why traffic was moving so slow this late at night. Looking around, I noticed an OPP police cruiser riding in the passing lane and I snuck in behind him after he pulled into the middle lane. I kept my distance, and kept my speed (which just happened to be at the speed limit) when in my rear view mirror, I saw this driver swerve through traffic at a high speed (seeing headlights zip laterally across your rear view mirror is highly distracting.) The car zoomed past me and just as the car pulled up to the police cruiser, I saw the brake lights flare and suddenly, their speeds were matched. I guess those reflective letters on the back that spelled out "POLICE" gave them a fright. I wonder if they would've noticed had I been closer to the cops, but that exercise will have to wait for another day..

Oh yeah, I got the CD full of ninjastars photos from BMH yesterday too! I'll be posting some of them in the near future.

I'm going to be busy tonight (again) but hopefully I'll get to catch up on sleep tomorrow.

[2:17 PM EDT - We're gonna Wing Chun tonight..]

I got a couple of links from Growly. The first is a shockwave file (in Korean, but you'll recognize the protagonist) while the second one is on technique.

SS sent along a link to some pictures he took on his trip to the west coast.

I found this useful site if you want to find (paid) parking downtown.

[3:17 PM EDT - Slow RAM.]

I got some SIMMs from HT to test in my system. Hopefully I'll get enough to make a decent computer out of the P166.

I also just checked out my chess script and it is so SLOW! Dear lord, I'm definitely switching to the client side.

[Saturday, July 26, 2003: Finding hockey.]

I went out to dinner and a movie right after work. The plan was to meet at seven downtown. Actually, I wanted to meet at six-thirty because I assumed that the traffic would be bad and so if I aimed for six-thirty, I'd actually arrive at seven. Well, I avoided the highways and took the streets instead. When I arrived at the theatre, I looked at my watch and was stunned to see that it was six-thirty (well, it was before six-thirty, but I'm rounding to the closest half-hour). I hadn't planned for an early arrival so I didn't have anything to do. I decided to stand on the balcony thing and do some people watching. *looks at girl in tank top* *looks at girl with tube top*

<- wiggles eyebrows.

Anyway, we went out for an appetizer dinner and watched "Finding Nemo". It's a pretty good movie! I definitely enjoyed myself. Gotta do it again sometime.

Afterward, I headed back home, but on the way, I got hit by a sudden urge to go to the washroom. To make a long story short, I didn't go to hockey because of my stomach. It must've been something I had for dinner yesterday (honey garlic wings) but that really annoyed me.
