[12:07 PM EDT - Surprise!]

I forgot to mention yet something else from Tuesday. PRQ came up to me and apologized that he would not be able to make it out to my dinner afterward. KW had been inviting everyone out to come with us, but I remembered how we had a surprise dinner for PRQ not long ago, so I looked at him funny and asked,

"What dinner?"

The look on his face was priceless! He stood there with this "I think I did something wrong but I don't know what to do now" look and it was all quiet for many seconds. It took a lot of effort not to break out into complete laughter (and even more not to break out into incomplete laughter), but the look was priceless! Who needs a Mastercard anyway?

[12:17 PM EDT - It's a fake.]

Yeesh. Anticipation is the worse thing some times. Anyway, I'm going to be busy Saturday morning. Hee hee.

Every now and then, I'll have someone look at my watch, look at my shoes/jeans/shirt and ask,

"Is it real?"

To which I would of course reply to the negative. Heck, even if it was real, I would still tell the person that it's fake. I wouldn't want anyone mugging me for a stupid watch.

[1:41 PM EDT - Survival of the Fittest.]

Dangerman sent in a link for a badminton tournament next weekend. The problem is that it's in Waterloo, and I've got hockey and an ultimate tournament that weekend. Oh well, there's always next year right?

Hey, I just went to a Greek restaurant run by a Chinese family. The food was pretty good, but it was still a little strange to see.

[2:55 PM EDT - Going solar.]

I was looking at a solar power generation problem with laptops and came across this guy's blog entry on it. *thinks* I wonder how expensive it would be to set up a house like that? *rubs chin*

[4:38 PM EDT - Battery low.]

[4:47 PM EDT - Dream Sequence: Hill Patrol.]

I found myself between a very large mound of snow and a long fence. There were others with me and we were trying frantically to keep the path between the mound and fence clear despite the falling snow. I had a shovel with me and was constantly throwing more snow onto the mound, but it was obvious that we would be able to prevail. It was dark, but the storm was passing and eventually the path was clear enough for easy transport. I decided at that point to throw the shovel onto the mound and climb up it (it was a sheer cliff about my height). I pulled myself up and noticed a whole bunch of kids on the top of the mound, which is really a long hill with a gentle slope (on the other side of the sheer drop). They were all sliding or tobogganing down. I pulled myself up, and then slid down on my belly.

I then found myself in some sort of tea house. It was a very large one with many rooms. I could see kids playing in the snow outside through the windows, and I wandered around looking for a place to sit. I was loosely associated with a group of patrollers and I eventually found my way to the backyard. It was warm and sunny back there and I saw a number of patrollers reclining and relaxing in the sun. A number of towels were being hung out to dry. They all had the patrol crest and I looked for my towel. It didn't take long as I found my name stitched to the bottom. There were a lot of dull red splotches on it however. I guess the blood won't be easilly washed off this guy..

[7:34 PM EDT - News Bytes: Arguing Tats.]

I went by ArsTechnica, and although it was off topic, I found this absolutely hilarious. Good lord, from all the stories he's writing, I'm amazed the house/town/state/country hasn't been destroyed yet.

Back on topic, here's something about equal strength meaning applying more strength.

Oh, and an old ShackNews link that makes "Dude! Wrong house!" funny.

The ShackNews had a link to an article on how marriage kills the brain.
