[3:23 PM EDT - Ready for the final transplant.]

I'll be switching the CD-ROMs soon. Afterward, I'll have to figure out what to do with with the leftover system and figure out what those parts are.

I got up really late this morning. It was way past noon when I got out of bed and I didn't really start functioning until a couple of hours ago. I don't have anything planned for today apart from roller hockey, but I had sort of promised LS that I'd go up to the cottage tomorrow. Then there's the ultimate practice and a brunch with DeeL and KH..

[4:11 PM EDT - You cook for you own.]

It's all done! The CD-ROM's in, and the cover is back on. I was a little worried because the back plate was very warm when I was putting in the CD-ROM. I'm not sure if the system is running hot or not (or if it's normal). Ah well, I won't find out until after it's been running for a month or so. Until then, I'm going to keep the backup system together just incase something does fail. (I should be able to pop the hard drive and memory into the other machine.)

I've looked up the model numbers for the parts I didn't have information on, and there seems to be something out there for each of them. That is, if I can find out what the actual model numbers are! (Too many strange numbers on these cards.)

[7:57 PM EDT - Take it easy.]

I'm going to take it easy tonight. I have one little errand to do, but apart from that, I think I'm going to do some cleaning up of the site. Roller hockey was okay, although only twelve people showed up so we had a very short bench.

[11:21 PM EDT - Let's aim for the end of the year.]

Ugh, I've got to do laundry tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll have the time.

Man, I'm feeling awfully nostalgic. I'm getting to the really meaty parts and I definitely could've handled things better. Oh well, live and learn.

Don't answer the phone? Okay..

[11:38 PM EDT - Dream Sequence: Cops, stairs, and roads.]

Since I got up so late this morning, I had quite a number of vivid dreams (which indicates lots of REM sleep which is good!). I remember three parts which were quite distinct from each other.

In the first dream, I was sitting in a car with four other people. SS was driving, but I don't remember who the other three were. Anyway, I was sitting on the back seat behind the driver. Actually, I was sitting on top of the backrest, while everyone else was positioned normally. I was doing something - I can't remember what - but it was taking up all of my attention (eating? reading?) until I saw a cop car pass by us. Knowing how much we'd be fined if they saw my seatbelt off, I sat back down on the seat and buckled up. I thought the coast was clear until a police van stopped in front of us and a police cruiser pulled up next to us. SS was annoyed because my antics may have given him (and me) a ticket. We pulled over and stopped right behind a mirror, where the girl sitting in the passenger seat reached out to touch the Looking Glass. As strange things were happening there, the cop came over to check up on us, and I was in proper form. Unfortunately, the third guy in the front was standing with the cushions all out of place..

The second dream was in some sort of rickety house. I was with a couple of people, and there was this dog who came up to me. I let him sniff my hand and his investigative snorts were stronger than most vacuum cleaners! The girl with me mentioned that he'd probably suck my skin off. After a minute or so of vacuuming, the dog thought that I was okay, so he let me pet him. We had met to determine what to do with the creature that was living upstairs (which we had found at the beginning of this segment of the dream) and a petition was passed around to get rid of the monster in the closet. I rejected that idea since I didn't think that the creature was a monster, nor was it malevolent. I signed something else releasing the creature or something, and at that moment, I knew something was different. As I headed back upstairs to look for the creature, I noticed that EL was coming up the stairs to join me, but couldn't walk through the doorway. Some sort of force was blocking up from entering. I knew that the stairs were only open to me now and I told him that I'd be back eventually and walked to the top of the stairs. There was only darkness beyond the doorway at the top of the stairs. I walked into the dark portal and felt myself suddenly teleported. I fell..

The last segment was in what I thought was Montreal. It wasn't, but I was travelling along a road through some flat, grassy land. The weather was amazing, and there were houses and buildings here and there. What caught my eye was the huge elevated expressway that crossed over the road that I was on. It was full of cars going in one direction and looked like it was made out of stone. (Like some Roman construction.) A little further down was the second half of the expressway which was for traffic in the opposite direction. For some reason, they had closed it down, and it was in severe disrepair. The road was filled with potholes and rocks, and the bridge had collapsed.

Walking further on, the road narrowed, and the full three lanes turned into a windy path where the extra lanes where filled with vegetation fences that prevented people from moving straight through. There were a large number of pillars and towers made of stone that flanked the highway. There were also a number of houses along the route, and I decided to stop at one..

[11:58 PM EDT - I know what my problem is..]

I hate making choices. I always want to take all paths of a fork, and to do everything I can in any situation. Try as I might, I can't seem to bake my cake and eat it too.

Maybe I'll just eat it.
