[12:00 AM EDT - News Bytes: Monkey business.]

I came across this story about a kid and some green monkeys. It's kind of cool actually. Oh yeah, there was a link to an article about some cool Honda commercial.

On ArsTechnica is a link to GIF liberation day.

[12:02 AM EDT - Badminton party.]

Today was the last Monday badminton we'll be having until next fall. For the rest of the summer, I'll only have Wednesday nights to spend on whacking those birds.

It was pretty good actually. The temperature was a little warm, but I played better than normal. There was also tons of food. Mostly fruits and vegetables actually. I was surprised as to how healthy it all was.

[12:43 AM EDT - Linares pictures.]

Ah, this is what I was originally looking for when I was thinking of doing the chess thing. The only limitation is that it requires javascript. Mind you, it wasn't like I had much of a choice there. Anyway, the pictures are all GIFs and they're quite small. Hmm.. I'll have to think about it. I've got a number of other projects to look at first.

[10:24 AM EDT - Party?]

Apparently there's going to be a dinner thing tonight. I'm not sure where or when, but it's going to happen.

Man is it ever hot! *wipes brow* I'm definitely not going to enjoy tonight's ultimate game. Going out after swearing buckets isn't really something that the people around me would probably appreciate.

Oh yeah, I finally checked out that Cog commercial. It's quite cool actually, although the quality of the file is a little low.

Let's see. There's other stuff I'll need to do today. If only I could remember what it was..

[12:38 PM EDT - We all scream..]

Our building managers gave out free ice cream for all of the tenants today. One of those ice cream trucks was waylaid and brought into our parking lot where a whole host of employees from the various buildings in this complex came out to partake in this free dessert. Yummy!

[Friday, June 27, 2003: Inquisitive dinner.]

I went to badminton today after work, but because of the traffic, I decided to take the side roads part of the way downtown. I think it was a good idea. The highway was a parking lot for most of the journey. (The roads weren't that much better though.)

I got there just as we started the game. We didn't play well in the first half, but we played well when the score was 16-8. We had eight unanswered points! I would've felt bad if we had won since we never talked about a time cap, and by the end it was getting really late, but I was very happy with the outcome.

I did lay out for a disc and ended up scraping my elbow and knee on the dirt. (I missed the disc.) There was a lot of dirt on the field. We kept kicking up a dust storm after every rush.

Afterward, a bunch of us went out to a surprise dinner for PRQ. I didn't get home until very late.
