Ugh, I just got back. Driving over eight hours in a day is probably not good for you. At least I don't do it for a living.
The plan was to go downtown and check out the ultimate practice before going to bunch with the L's. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to even leave the house. The forecast predicted rain this afternoon and evening, which would mean that going to the cottage would be crappy and ultimate practice would be crappy too.
Well, I had to do laundry this morning so I ended up getting downtown a little late (some time past noon) and when I got to the restaurant, they were all finishing thier meal. Actually, the entire family showed up, which caught me a little off guard. Ah well, it was a good hour of socializing anyway.
Afterward, I booted off to the cottage that was at Lake Huron and after passing through a bit of rain, I got there around four-thirty. It was a little later than I had planned, as the trip was longer than anticipated. (I did miss a turn or two, but found my way there anyway.) I still shocked everyone there since they probably didn't expect me to show up.
Anyway, the cottage was nice, and the beach was okay. There was no sand in the water, just rocks, which made walking around a little dangerous. At least it was very shallow, which meant that there was a lot of wading area. I had initially been wary of going swimming, but I figured that I drove up there all the way, I might as well try it out anyway right? Well, the water was frigging cold! But it was alright after my legs went numb. It became pretty fun after a while. TB and I threw the disc around for a bit.
I hung around until after dinner when most of the group decided to leave. Only SS remained. The drive back was fairly uneventful, but I stayed awake by trailing the other cars.
Oh yeah, the weather? It was nice and sunny all day.
