On the way home from work, I hit a pretty large traffic jam at the usual place. Having biked around the area many times before, I decided to take a little detour. To my delight, the detour was really fast, and much more scenic! I kept an eye out for any "do not go forward" signs that are usually posted for these streets, but there didn't seem to be any going in this direction (only in the other direction). I guess I'll be taking this route home more often!

I went to the BBQ a little (about two hours) late. I figured that I didn't want to be the first one there because I never want to arrive at a party that's empty. Well, when I got there there were five people at the party including the host. I guess I wasn't late enough!
I sat around and chatted with the rest of the group for a couple of hours. KB, JM, and CM were there, as were a couple of DE's friends (a couple from my old high school).
After eating and chatting, I headed downtown to the restaruant where I had brunch (water actually) last week for some salsa lessons. Well, the lessons weren't that great, but there were a lot of people there who I knew. (Mostly from the usual crowd of Dangerman, girl, Growly, SJ, Tenshi, and Laz.) I also felt way underdressed (jeans and T-shirt) until I saw Laz and felt much better. Pops showed up too since he was in town but he didn't come inside.
After a bit of dancing, we headed out for drinks and wandered around a bit. Then we headed home.
