[12:04 AM EDT - Too slow.]

Argh, my LAN is really slow. REALLY slow. I tried moving some finished files from my computer to the laptop so I can throw them onto a CD but it took over three hours to copy over one CD's worth of data. Something's definitely wrong with this picture. I'll have to look into it, but it's probably because of the program I'm using. Once I've finished with it, I'll see if I can move things around. (Wasted a whole night waiting for it to download too! Grr..)

[9:48 AM EDT - Much faster.]

I'm down to running five concurrent streams and it's not killing my bandwith as badly right now. Actually, it's quite good! (Which might mean that I'm not actually downloading anything, but hey..)

I got up early today. Actually, I went to bed late, but because my blinds were open, and my window was open, (and maybe also because my computer was on) I got up around seven. I actually got out of bed before eight, but I still got to work at about the same time. *hangs head*

Time seems to get filled no matter how much you make.

I've got to be careful with my clip-ons. The light shades especially since it's difficult to tell that they're on until I enter a dimly lit environment. It's pretty cool though, the fact that I can still function with them on, but I hate to carry them around if I don't need to.

One thing about getting all of these files is that I've been forced to make space on my system (since I haven't been able to burn anything yet). I guess that also means that I'll have plenty of hard drive space to tide me over until I get a new system in a few months. (That is, once I get these files off my hard drive - and onto DVD?)

Shoot, I should've gotten gas while I had the chance. Ah well.

[10:03 AM EDT - Dream Sequence: Samurai Hockey.]

I've been having weird dreams for the past week, but I keep forgetting to write them down. Fortuntely, this morning's dream was strange enough that it stuck in my head until now. I was playing hockey with a few other people, except that people were brandishing weapons instead of sticks. I had a halberd and Laz (who was playing on my team) had a poleaxe. We were the two best skaters on the ice and basically skated circles around the other players. Speaking of skating, we were all wearing swords on our feet! I had a couple of scimitars strapped on and was gliding effortlessly on the surface. It seems as if Laz and I were the only two people on my team, and the other players seemed to be coming out of the woodwork, trying to whack the puck in our direction. One of them had full gear on, except that the gear looked like samauri armour (except made out of foam). He wasn't a good skater and eventually fell over. After a little while, a group of girls came out and tried moving the puck up the ice. They weren't that good so I took a gigantic pair of scissors that was lying on the ice (made of bamboo) and slid it towards them before charging with my halberd. The lead girl got caught on the scissors and fell over, so the other two girls tried helping her up. I went in to see what I can do to help and I recognized the girl who fell over as QoS. One of the girls helping her up was MPS, but I didn't pay any attention to them. I bent down and gave QoS a kiss..

[11:39 AM EDT - Busy is going to get busier.]

Uhh, I've known this for a while, but I've been throwing this to the back of my head, but being treasurer means showing up to the meetings. There are going to be a fair number of meetings. Oh joy.

[11:43 PM EDT - News Bytes: Text outages.]

It seems like text messaging is killing the movie industry (actually, it's the movie industry that's killing the movie industry, but they don't want us to believe it). There's a cool animation of network outages during the blackout. I got these links from the ShackNews.

[11:50 PM EDT - Closed talk.]

I went to the seminar at the chiropractor's place. The flyer stated that it was supposed to last for half-an-hour but it lasted for an hour and a half! (I think someone got reversed here or something.) The talk was moderately interesting, but basically told me what I know already: Prevention is better than Treatment. Now if we only knew what the best preventative measures were..

Oh yeah.. *sits upright* Good posture.

I still have to do my gait analysis in a few weeks.

Man, it's hot. My computer's been on for days now and the air conditioning's off. I spent some time watching some LoGH and finishing my VGAP turn. These turns are really starting to kill me! It's taking way too long to control my little empire. Too bad I don't have any deputies to pass these chores off to..

Oh yeah, since I went to the seminar, and since the ultimate game was halfway across town, I decided to go to badminton instead. When I arrived at the community centre, I saw that the building was dark, so I walked up to the door and saw a sign posted, which stated that the centre was closed until further notice due to the power outage.

<- looks at date.

August 19, 2003. What the.. that's today!
