Pain.

Oh the pain.

I'm so sore. The two day rule has come into effect. It's been two days since the broomball playoffs and I'm finally feeling the full effects of that night. Actually, I had a taste of it last night when I realized that I couldn't play volleyball to save my life, but right now I'm in no shape to move around, much less play sports. The bruises on my knees have gotten worse (oh yay) and the jeans I have on are too tight. If I bend my knees too quickly, they apply so much pressure to my knees that I double over in pain for a couple of minutes (and they call these loose fitting?). I found a new bruise on my right shoulder, just over my armpit. I have no idea where that came from. The other bruise I got yesterday is bigger now, nothing seems to have healed yet, and I'm completely sore all over. As KGL would say "You're getting old" (more like "You're already old").

I got a link from KGL, don't know what it is. girl sent a link of Tom Lehrer lyrics, although I already have the lyrics for the songs I want, I just want to find the songs.

While I'm on the topic of links, there's one from the ShackNews about some guy in South Korea who died from gaming. Time for me to invest in some life insurance..

So it seems as if winter's back in effect. It's snowing right now and the snow is starting to turn the ground white again (erasing a week of melting and drying). I guess no more skir.. err.. Frisbee until summer..

I'm so tired. I can't see how some people can go through life with only four hours of sleep a day. I neex to lie down and take a nap. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll wake up until tomorrow, and I still have to work on that thesis..

Been polishing up my figures. The formatting is a little funny, since LaTeX is not exactly the best at placing figures and tables, but right now, I'm more worried about the last part of my thesis. The part where I have no writing on whatsoever. The data in that part is pretty sparce as well so I don't know if I should stick it in at all..

Gotta stick to some sort of schedule, I've been rewriting my introduction but it's taking me much longer than anticipated. Hey, how do I dumb down this content without making it look like I'm talking down to people? I hate writing.

Hey, apparently today is the last day of Procrastination Week. I just heard this from the radio myself. The announcer explained that he only told us now because.. well, that's pretty obvious. Anyway, Procrastination Week is apparently held the first week of March each year. I personally have inadvertently done my part, having done basically no work on my thesis. Unfortunately I think I'll be paying for that over the next month, but at least I feel like I've done something constructive!

Waitaminute, that wasn't constructive at all! *grabs head and wails* Ahh!!

Here's KGL's new .plan:

You don't know what love is
Until you've learned the meaning of the blues
Until you've loved a love
You've had to lose
You don't know what love is.

*think* Sorry, drawing a blank on this one.

I saw a skunk on the way home last night near the corner of Lester and Columbia. I stopped to take a better look, but the rodent waddled off into the darkness..

After a bit of debate (with myself) I've decided to do the trek. Heck it only happens once every thousand years right? I figure I might as well be a part of it. Besides, had I been born two weeks earlier, I would've been ineligible. Might as well take advantage of that..

Checking up on homepages. Laz has gotten quite ecstatic with the new CPU price cuts and is thinking of upgrading.. I still think the price of the P3-550E is too steep for my blood, and I don't need the power (yet). I should mention that PC100 RAM is basically unusable at 150FSB. I haven't heard of any memory manufacturers who've put out PC100 RAM that can work at those speeds. PC133 RAM yes, PC100.. you'll have to go fishing (which is another reason why I can't afford to upgrade - I'll also need a new motherboard to reach the 150FSB speeds). *watches the cost of the components soar*

However, what caught my attention was Laz's interest in the new Berserk game (The original Japaneese name for the manga was "Legend of the Whirlwind Sword: Berserk" I think). Actually, during one of our after show dinners, the CTRL-A guys were wondering what the heck they were going to name the game seeing as "Berserk" was already used as a name for a computer game. I guess this answered that question. Before you guys (well, maybe just Laz) go off buying the game, I would suggest that you go and see if you can watch the series (all 25 episodes!). (Definitely not for younger audiences though.)

KGL's finally cracked under the strain of not having enough sleep (and I thought she was super-human - I guess she was just super-crazy), while Jax should be having a ball at the.. er.. formal I think. Despite her ominous predictions, I think she'll do fine on the test. Of course, there is no excuse for volleyball!! <!-- BTW, she's still a wuss. Hee hee. Come on Jax, put em up, put em up, I'll fight you with one hand tied behi.. Ahh! My eye! My ey.. Ow! My foot!! My foot!! I give! I give! Uncle!! --> Actually, I should probably stop sending Jax these side messages here, but I don't want to flood her (e-mail) inbox!

Tiffi got in one last entry before their OhCanada!2000 trip. (There's actually two entries but one of them doesn't seem to work.) Anyway, I wish them (Tiffi, Sparky, and whoever else they're bringing along to the great white north) luck and hope they have a good time, and if they ever come on my Waterloo to drop on by! (I don't think I'll be able to make it to TO next week - I used up most of my procrastination karma this week..)

Okay, time to go. I don't have any food prepared but I've got lots of stuff left over from our food run this week. Hmm.. looks like veggies and fungus for dinner.. Mmm.. fungus..
