[1:10 AM EDT - Fore!]

TCD: 600

In my mind, I've got it all figured out, but the head does not always rule the heart..

Well, there's my bit of unoriginal prose. Today was pretty jam packed. After spending a couple of hours on Ascension (I'll probably finish in a week or so) I went out to get my hair cut. The lady basically asked if I wanted it cut short, and proceeded to remove hair. I think it's even shorter than last time! Wow, that's actually quite some time ago.. (and it seems like only yesterday..)

Afterward, I went out with girl to check out a golf course. One of her friends has a birthday today and went out to the course to play some golf so she decided to tag along. Since I had time before roller hockey, I figured that I would tag along for a little while. We met up with the group at the course and we went in to get registered. On the way out, some guy came out from behind the counter and asked me.

"Excuse me sir, are you going to be playing today?"

Well, for you non-golfing people out there, there's a certain dress code that you have to adhere to when you go out to roam the fields. No jeans and plain shirts (preferably with collars). At least that was what I was told beforehand. *looks down at white T-shirt and jeans* Fortunately, I wasn't planning on staying long, so I told him that I wasn't.

Out at the.. starting shack. I forgot what it was called. The girl behind the counter asked me (while I was looking away of course and didn't realize she was talking to me) if I was going to be wearing my jeans onto the course. Well, originally I thought that you couldn't play if you didn't follow the code, but I didn't realize that you couldn't even watch as well (I guess it makes sense in hindsight). So I told her that I had to go and that I'd only watch them tee off. Wow, they can be pretty picky about that huh?

After tee off, I headed out to play roller hockey. We had a good turnout today, but I still got in a lot of ice time. Err, play time. I got hit in the face by the ball when I was blocking a shot and it ruptured whatever scar tissue I had in my nose from a couple of days ago and I started leaving a trail of blood on the rink. Apparently, you're supposed to keep your head down, pinch the bridge of your nose, and put something really cold on the back of your neck if you want it to stop quickly. I dunno, I don't usually time my nosebleeds so I don't know how effective it was. Perhaps a more quantitative study is required?

After we finished playing four hours later, I was pretty much hosed. Right now I feel like.. tired. Really tired. Anyway, you get the picture. However, that wasn't the end of the day yet. I ended up going out to the birthday dinner at East Side's (the original venue was to be Wendy's) and I was told a little story about the waiter they had. Apparently, someone ordered coke. "Ice tea?" he asked. "No, Coke." was the reply. A few minutes later, the waiter came back with a glass of ice tea. Well, we didn't have that waiter for long, we ended up getting a waitress who, after giving us a few minutes to eat our food, came back with cheese and pepper for our entrees. "Cheese or pepper?" she asked. "Pepper." said the same guy who ordered the coke. "Cheese?" "No, pepper." At least she didn't proceed to dump cheese on to his mussels.

Finally, after a very filling dinner, we headed out to meet Jules and hung around there for a little while before heading out. (Catching the last bit of "Bring it on" while we were there.)

Now here I am, and I'm too tired to be introspective. Well, maybe not too tired to be, but too tired to type. I'm off to bed.

Sometimes I wonder if I'd thought through my actions thuroughly enough or not. There's always that cloud of doubt that hangs over my mind every time I get to thinking. But this was a choice I made, whether it's right or wrong, I made this decision and I'm going to stick with it. The one big thing I don't like being is hypocritical, which is probably why I make so few decisions in my life. =)

Well, there's also that responsibility aspect, but there's always that responsibility aspect.

I didn't do much today apart from some house chores. I've numbed my brain with Ascension, but don't I do that all the time?

Hrumph. I don't think I'll have to worry about this. Link's from the ShackNews.

Hmm, although I've been mentioning Ascension, I haven't really reviewed it yet. Well, let's just say that it's not all that hot. The story's good, and the layout is interesting, but the implementation sucks. The interface is aggravating, and the camera control can be quite irritating. To top it off, the game is a system hog! Holy crap, even on my system, it starts slowing down after playing for half-an-hour. It's like it's an ever (which uses the same letters as "a never") expanding game. In a bad sense. *looks at dwindling system resources*

Argh! I feel like tearing out my hair after a few minutes of clicking hopelessly during one of my quests!

Ah well, I'm halfway done, and once I'm finished with it, I'll get rid of it. Anyone interested in a copy? (Didn't think so.)

Whoa, I just saw a (cute looking) girl walking her dog outside. *looks out window* Actually she was on blades, so I guess she was blading her dog. *blinks* Something like that. Anyway.. *watches girl disappear around corner* Now I've got an urge to strap on my blades!
