[3:58 PM EDT - Scale's the limit!]

I've been busy at a client site all day. A little change that I expected to take an hour took five hours to complete! (If you include lunch that is.) After a bit of a SNAFU, things are now hunky dory! It's all good.

Well, let's get back to work.

[9:08 PM EDT - Blue Shift Over.]

Finally, I've finished Blue Shift. It seems like it was as short as weirDo told me it was. It goes from the point that everything goes wrong up to the point that Freeman gets captured, which is only.. a third of the length of the game? Not even I guess since you really don't start until some time after.

I like the cameo apperances of Freeman (again), kinda Pulp Fictiony.

Okay, now all I have to do is get LoD installed..

[9:18 PM EDT - Blue review.]

Oh, while I'm here, I might as well put up a short review of the game. Those not interested can skip to the next entry.

Anyway, the high definition models added a bit to the game, I especially liked how the mutants (face crab plus host) looked so gross, with all their tenticals and chest thing moving around. Quite impressive actually. Some of the traps were more cunning in this one, and I still got freaked out a couple of times when a face crab hit me (completey unexpectedly) from nowhere. You don't get to use as wide a range of weapons as in the other two co-quels, but being the length of Half Life: Day One, the number and type of weapons seemed well balanced.

There was a point in the game where I didn't find any ammunition or health for the LONGEST time, and until I met up with the military (who have oodles of munitions and health kits) I was pretty much hovering around the teens for health with just a few rounds for each of my weapons. (Shotgun, Pistol, and Magnum.) Much running away involved in that part of the game.

Once the military did show up however, it became relatively easy. The puzzles were simple and traps were easy to break through. Just go in with guns blazing since by the time you're through, they've got lots of stuff left over for you to bring you back up to previous levels.

So basically, it's a good game, if a bit short. I have no complaints, I wanted to get it done with quickly so I could work on LoD. We'll see how I fare against Baal.

[11:28 PM EDT - Some parts are missing.]

I'm going to bed now. But before I go, I found a neat little quote:

"I'm not a complete idiot. Some parts are missing."

*yawn*
