This VBscript thing is really starting to annoy me. IE is having problems accepting VBScript and JavaScript on the same page. (At least the way I set it up.) Grr.. Much more fiddling around required.
What?!? There's no roller hockey today? This can't be true! *shakes fist*
Anyway, I'm downloading Netscape 6.1 so I can actually see what my page looks like with the Gecko engine. Hopefully this won't destroy my system..

I think I figured out why hitting the "go back" link on comments thing seems to reset the form in Netscape. Well, it only happens with me when I screw up the entry. Hmm.. Okay, let's do some more testing..

Argh! A whole night of bashing my head into the table could've been avoided if I had remembered for JavaScript that using = in a comparison expression is not a good idea. Grr..
Anyway, I got the thing working in IE, now I have to figure out what the intricacies of Netscape 6 JavaScript is now..

Argh! You know, I could've saved another day of agony and anguish had I known that the only thing stopping me from getting this darned script to work was because I put spaces around my equals sign. What's up with that? Is JavaScript THAT finicky? (And if so, how come pages post different versions of code that do the same thing with slight differences?) Grr..
Anyway, I've got the menu thing working in Netscape 6. I just checked the thing out in Netscape 4 and realized how bad it looked. NS6 is much more similar to IE5 than I would've expected. Hmm, I wonder how it looks under Opera?
Since the thing doesn't work in NS4, and it even looks crappy, I'm wondering if I'll bother trying to get it to work on it. *rubs eyes* At this rate, I'm going to lose the whole weekend getting this thing cross-browser compatable. This after realizing that I might want to make changes to make it easier to code! Agh! More bugs to squish! It never ends!
And at the beginning of all of this, I thought it was an easy cut and paste mission..

Ick! My page looks kinda strange in NS4. I keep forgetting about the little funny bits that sort of don't look right on the page whenever I check it out at school. (I haven't been there to browse my site in many moons.)
Hmm, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. It's still functional. Yes, it's quite functional, but it bugs me a lot when it doesn't look the way I want it to..
Ah well, I'll figure out something at some point in time. It's already midnight! *yawn* I barely left my room! *hangs head*

The menu thing I was playing around with is up on the root site. It works, but I still want to make it better, and more versatile.

What the heck are you doing? And why, in heavens name, are you using VBScript? Sure, it's great for getting Outlook to erase peoples' harddrives, but, no, it isn't used by any other browser besides IE (ya, you can keep your plugin).

Actually, I've been able to get the thing working in IE using JavaScript. (After many trials and tribulations.) Now all I have to do is to get it working in Netscape (4 and 6). Erk.

Bah! What's wrong with your comments form?? Won't accept hyperlink anchors? The nerve!

Read the guidelines Growlyboy, and the script will automatically line addresses if they start with http:// (for example: http://www.google.com/ ). BTW, thanks for the links. I had just figured out how to get it to work in Netscape 6 when I got the comment. Now I have to get it to work in Netscape 4..
