[9:46 AM EDT - Good weather.]

Nice weather we're having today. I decided not to bike because there's ano off chance that it'll rain later this afternoon. I've got badminton too tonight, and I need to go home early, and I probably should go and pick up a money order, and.. oh, I guess I've got a lot of stuff to do huh?

[1:27 PM EDT - Power drop.]

A sudden power outtage took down our network for an hour or so. It's quite annoying to have to reboot all of the hubs to get things back up and running again. I wonder why that is? (Turning off the power after the power went off to get it to work. It's like crashing a car into a wall to get rid of a dent in the bumper.)

I'm just glad I'm working on a laptop. Built in UPS! Yeah baby! *pumps fist* Unfortunately, since the network went down, I couldn't save any of my work on the server. *hangs head*

I'm getting more and more inclined to get a UPS for my system at home..

[11:38 PM EDT - Too many feathers.]

Well, four hours of badminton is enough to put anyone to sleep. Albiet somewhat sore as well. *rubs joints* Actually, I think I was feeling the effects of some sort of muscle spasam in my neck before I headed to the centre, but it quickly disappeared when I started running around the court. I need to get myself a new birdie. This one is starting to show some wear and tear. One of my major gripes about sports like badminton is that as you get better, you start going through these birdies pretty quickly. At three bucks a pop for a nylon one (about two bucks for a feather one - but feather birdies barely last a game) it really adds up!

The kids playing in the middle court for example, go through a few tubes a night. That's a pretty expensive hobby if you think about it, especially since most of them play, on average, every other day! They really should start developing indestructable birdies..

I also hit myself on the hand when I missed a smash. I must be one of the few people on the world who's capable of injuring themselves with their racquet while playing badminton. I hit myself last week as well but it was on my leg and it wasn't that hard a swing. This one was pretty much bang on my middle finger. It broke the skin and the finger immediately began to swell and bleed. I still played the rest of the game, although I was pretty much useless due to my preoccupation with my new found injury. Klutz.
