[9:58 AM EDT - Ahh.. choo!]

Wow, I'm fine one moment, but after one sneeze, I'm a sniffling, sneezing wreck. It's as if that first sneeze blows out all of my defences to the pollen and I have to suffer for half-an-hour while I rebuild my wall of mucus. Ugh. *sniffles*

Now where was I? Oh yeah, back to work.

[11:02 PM EDT - News before.. olds.]

Doing my usual rounds at the ShackNews. Hey uh, do I seem depressed, cranky, and insecure? I wonder if this would ever happen in Montreal? MJO could confirm the story.

[11:17 PM EDT - Wearing the wrong spurs and headless birdies.]

I went to badminton tonight. I think it might be the only exercise I'll be getting in a while since roller hockey was canceled on Saturday due to the long weekend, and the other roller hockey on Sunday looks iffy. Anyway, while I was walking to the community centre, I happened to look down at my shorts and noticed something odd. I own a pair of Miami Heat black shorts, but the colours looked all wrong on the insignia. Taking a closer look, I saw that it read: San Antonio Spurs. Great. I hate it when this happens. Oh well, if the shorts fit..

I also need to get a new birdie. Maybe a new tube would be a good idea. The one that I've been bringing since the beginning of this month has died a painful death. It got it's head lopped off during a smash and I had to discard it despite it being in pretty good shape (if you ignore the lack of head).

[11:27 PM EDT - Money back.]

One more thing before I go. I went out to pick up lunch today and when I got to the counter, the cashier put a new ten dollar bill on the counter and said "That's yours". *blink* Wha.. He then told me that he checked the video from the day that he didn't give me my change and realized that he didn't actually give me my change. Video? *looks around conspicuously*

Well, that's an interesting turn of events. I guess everything does balance out in the end.. *nods*

[11:47 PM EDT - Dust 2.]

Hey, I noticed that Laz put up another CS entry. (FlyingS, KGL, and NVM also have entries.) He's talking about his one man versus army story on Dust 2. I must admit that I was playing CS recently too. *hangs head* But I think I can stop playing by midnight..

Then again..

So anyway, I've been playing mostly on EW1 now that servers have started switching to Day of Defeat. The quality of the players has dropped somewhat since I'm usually ending on par for most of the maps. There was one time where I actually did well, and this was also on Dust 2. Like Laz, I was playing with the Ts and just like in his case, our team got snuffed out pretty quick. However, in this case, there were only twenty people playing, and by the time my last teammate was killed it was me versus five guys. I didn't have the bomb on me, so I had to go around searching for the thing. I bumped into one CT on the way the the B site and took his Colt after I iced him. The next guy was nasty and took me down to two hit points. Two! I like playing with the colt because it's silenced. It makes a huge difference when you're fighting against big odds because that extra second it takes for them to find you is enough to someone down. Anyway, I was down to 50 seconds to find the bomb, plant the bomb, and hole it blows up in time. Nuh uh. I decided to play safe and not die. I ended up walking towards the middle of the map where the steps were and started moving around the corner when I heard footsteps. I crouched down against the wall and waited. Then I saw a CT walking along the wall, facing me I opened fire before asking any questions and was lucky that he didn't hit me with any stray bullets. *wipes forehead* I knew that better players don't usually split up when doing a sweep type mission because that's just asking to get picked off, so I quickly scurried back. But realizing that there was ten seconds left, I figured that I'd try to win the round (Hell, why not?) and headed back to the same junction where I (again) heard footsteps. Crouching again, another CT burst in, running this time with gun blazing, and I somehow kept a bead on him while he leapt into the air and died. And that, was when the round ended. One CT left! *shakes fist*

Most of the other rounds didn't end up going my way, except for that time one of our guys bought a para and parked himself behind the double doors (with me covering him). That was highly amusing. (I even got a kill!)
