I got a call from Tenshi while eating lunch this afternoon. Apparently she and Laz were going down to the Ex. After beating around the bush for a bit, I expressed my enthusiasm to go down and join them there. (Heck, I was playing CS all morning and didn't want to play all afternoon.) So, I finished eating, grabbed my stuff (sunglasses, cap, big white sheet) and headed downtown.
The trip was fairly uneventful until I bumped into this lady at the entrance to the Ex. She actually walked up to me, out of all of the travelers on the bus, and asked me if I needed a ticket for the Ex (which I did). I asked her why she was parting with it and how much it would cost. She said she got one too many and it would cost six dollars. Six dollars? *rubs chin* Unfortunately, I didn't know how much the park admission was, but I figured that six bucks wasn't that much even if I got ripped off. I payed her the money, collected the ticket and went to the gate. I got in without a hitch.
I had seen Laz waiting inside before bumping into the lady, but we hung around to watch what was left of the air show. Then we headed into the food buildilng to wait for Tenshi and her entourage. I also needed food since my lunch wasn't particularly filling. I found some poutine at the gourmet fries place which was a little overpriced, but what isn't down there?
Umm, yeah. So it took a long time before we hooked up with Tenshi and her relatives. It was pretty fun, although I can't remember all too much of it. *scratches head* Dang, I really don't! Oh well, we wandered around the Ex, checking out some of the buildings, and the rides (which I didn't go on since the ticket I had was admission only). We also checked out the midway for a bit (where I won a little fishy!) before Laz and I left the group.
We had more important matters to attend to..
I got dropped off at my car before going home, eatting dinner, watching the last part of a movie, and then getting on to play CS with Laz, Werdna, and Pops. Actually, the moment I got home, I got a call from BL informing me that we were leaving tomorrow morning at eight-thirty to go fishing. *looks at watch* Goody. I took some time thinking about not going to play CS, but I figured that I already told Laz and Werdna that I was playing, so I ended up playing for a couple of hours before calling it a night. It still left me with five hours of sleep. Plenty right? (Well, if you're going by KGL's scale.)
