Hey, how you all doing out there? I'm out at a client site right now filling in for someone so I'll be pretty busy for a while. Last night, we went out to play some pool with a few cousins and hang out. Man those guys don't hold back any punches. Anyone who wants to even think about getting into this little group will have to suffer withering abuse 24/7. Ahh, the joys of family.

Oh smart. Guess what I forgot? Well, I had a list of stuff to do while I was down here and, well, let's just say that my bag is empty and I still haven't found it. Grr..
At least I remember one of the items I was supposed to be working on. Even though I don't have the specs, I still have a general idea what to do, and I think I can get it done. Mostly.

It rained today. We played ultimate today as well. We played in the rain. It was good, except for the fact that my glasses got a fogged up (as did DWC's) but I don't really think it mattered all that much in the end. We ended up playing a team we played before. It was a bunch of 18yos who beat the pants off of us last time (17-6). Well, we were determined to lose, er, I mean we were determined to lose gracefully, but after dropping a few points in as many minutes, we realized that we were probably a little outclassed. Just a little. It was fun though, they're a nice bunch to play with, and I did get my requisite diving catch in (bonus since it was on wet, muddy grass).
In the end, the score ended up being 17-1. Yes, we weren't shut out! (Hey, I've got to be able to cheer for something right?)
Apart from that, I did some cleaning up on the network side here, and made some inquiries about why my port four died. I'm also wondering why my two D-Links don't seem to like going at 100Mbps. They run fine at 10, but once you push it to 100 (half or full duplex) I get crappy connections. Really crappy connections. (Maybe they reversed the labels?)
Ah well, I'll let you gurus figure it out.
Our new hub is slow BTW. It's only a 10, and it's half duplex only. No wonder why it was so cheap! Ah well, as long as we're not doing any intensive gaming on it then we're fine. I think I'll be getting my own switch/router if my computer collection does start to expand beyond what I have now..
