It's been less than twelve hours and I'm already failing miserably. I keep telling myself that this is the first day, but geez, at this rate, it's going to be a long year..

I ended up going to one of the client sites for some database stuff. While I was down there, PL mentioned how I was moving up in the world with my new car. New car? He told me that he saw me driving off in a new black Prelude. *blink* Dang, maybe I should meet this other QYV. We should switch cars!

On the way down to the site, I saw a car with it's trunk held closed by a dozen strips of duct tape. Not exactly the best way to go about it, but duct tape is pretty versatile stuff. On the way back from the site, I came across another traffic accident. This one was between a pickup truck, which T-boned a van. The police were already at the scene, but traffic (in the other direction) was completely stopped. I must've just missed it on the way down..

Erk, I didn't get that much sleep last night. Fortunately, the good weather today is keeping me up. Too bad I'm stuck inside. I couldn't really fall asleep though, maybe tonight will be better.

Keeping busy though, much work to do.

I was in the middle of updating my page when I lost the connection. Hmm, the connection stayed down so I was never able to finish the entry. Of course, I found out when I got home (after sneaking in since nobody opened the front door) that somebody disconnected the router.. *makes face*

Argh! Thanks to Growly-o I ended up with a temporary relapse! (Which was the topic of the original entry I wanted to write but now since I have to fix the network it will have to be truncated.) Ahem..

So, I found out the culprit to this networking fiasco. Port four on my router is pooched. That means I only have a three port router! Nya!

I realized that my little tally thing was taking up a lot of space, especially if I threw in a lot of entries, so I've decided (in standard cryptic fashion) to reduce the size of the thing. Besides, I was worried I might end up typing Carvings at some point in time.

[8:19 PM EDT - Hub not included.]

So, girl wanted to go out and buy a hub. This thing about not having four ports on our router came at a bad time. So we went out to Logic House to grab a hub. We got there five minutes before they closed, but still had time to pick up a cheap hub. After dinner I went about my business to attach the hub to the network. So I opened up the box..

Odd, here's another box, but it looks awfully small for the hub. *opens box* Hmm, power adapter. *sifts through rest of box* Where's the hub?!?

Another of life's lessons learned.
