[9:36 AM EDT - Another hot one.]

Oh boy. You know, this hot weather is really starting to get to me. I'm just glad that the house has air conditioning. I remember when I was back in Waterloo and lived on the top floor of an apartment complex/house and didn't have any air conditioning to counterbalance the hot, hazy and humid weather we sometimes get and.. oh man, I don't know how I survived. Of course, air conditioning is a relatively new invention. People in ancient times didn't have any sort of relief from hot weather, and considering that back in the old days, most people lived in the tropical areas..

I guess being climatized works. Consistent weather is good. Living through a cold winter and then a hot summer probably would make it difficult for the body to adjust.

Okay, I'm rembling now. I think it may be due to lack of sleep. More likely, it's probably caused by all of this radition that I'm getting from the sun. (Or the little black/beige box in front of me..)

[8:36 PM EDT - Text.]

Hey, I've been spending some time playing around with that HTML to text converter I found. It seems to work, although it's very simplistic and can't parse the HTML as well as Lynx can (or even the HTML to text converter that IE uses when you save as a text file).

I've got it hooked up as a style, but it doesn't work with the scripts, just with the files, so journals won't be in text format any time soon. I originally intended to convert only my CV and Résumé into text format (so that I don't have to have three separate files to update each time each one changes) but I think this text conversion thing is pretty cool.

Anyway, I should be look at other things to fix up. The work never ends.. *sigh*

[8:59 PM EDT - Well.. now what?]

I did my usual rounds and noticed that Laz has quite a number of entries up. I think the heat must be getting to him. *reads further down* What the.. too many links and not enough angst?!?

I think he's absolutely RIGHT! *blink* But I like it this way. Besides, if I threw in a tiny smidgen of angst up here, it would come back at me sometime in the future and gobble me up like some cougar devouring a rabbit. It's funny how much more open I was when I knew people weren't reading this page. Hmm.. how times have changed..

Actually, I think everybody who reads this site is waiting for me to slip up, get uber-depressed, and spill my guts onto the phosphorus (or LCD) screen so that I could feel better with myself. Then, a couple of days later, my broken and lifeless body will be found floating in the murky depths of the Don..

*thinks*

Nah, like that'll ever happen. I'd definitely look for a more dramatic exit. *starts building a thermonuclear device*

Anyway, back to surfing. Let's see.. MJO's also thrown up something. Seems like he's wondering if we'll ever go to Vegas. *looks at schedule* Not anytime soon. Besides, if the weather down there is anything like the weather up here.. *tugs shirt*

Finally, NVM's starting to recruit more and more people for her project. I guess it might get off the ground after all!
