Wow, I guess I actually went shopping last night. Picked up enough stuff to last me a couple of days. Hopefully I'll get enough free food next week to let me last until next weekend. *crosses fingers*
Upon reaching the Zhers I usually go to, I was surprised to see that they didn't have any Campbell's cream of mushroom. They had the cream of mushroom and garlic, and the cream of mushroom and onions, but no plain cream of mushroom. Gah. They didn't have any cream of mushroom the last time I went shopping there, but I had already bought one of each of these special types of cream of mushroom. Fortunately, I think these types would be okay with the beef stroganoff I was thinking of making, so that's alright. But what if I wanted to make something else?
Not only was I surprised that they had no plain cream of mushroom, they didn't have any shortcake cookies! Man, I was in the mood for those as well. They did have family shortcake cookies, but it gets kind of messy when it's warm and humid. Icky. Ah, I gave up and bought myself a bag of them. They're still really good.
Then, to top it off, they didn't have any of the smaller half litre containers of sour cream. Man, I guess I wasn't getting anything I wanted. That was alright tho, no problem.. I'll just make do with what I can get. Done that before..
Haven't gotten sick yet.
During this entire week, I was somewhat surprised at the number of students running around campus and around town. Most of them seem like frosh, and I guess it makes plenty of sense to move in early if you have the chance. Still, Most of this started off at the beginning of the week, and I can't seen how these kids could keep themselves occupied for an entire week before frosh week started. No complaints, makes the place look a bit less dead than it normally is at this time of the year.
Watched a movie last night on Bravo. Don't remember the name, but I was surprised to see Natalie Portman being in the movie. I didn't recognize her, although she was playing some thirteen year old girl with bad hair.
My allergies have yet to give me a day of peace. Today is no exception. At least I was able to have breakfast today, but after a week of abstinence, I wasn't feeling particularly hungry this morning.
Good weather tho. Great weather in fact, except that it was a little warm and humid. Dusty actually called up about lunch, which doesn't occur quite that often. Figured that I should take advantage of that, and we went out to throw the disc around despite the oppressive sunshine.
He was also sharing his civilization stories with us. Apparently he was able to find a copy of the game and installed it onto his computer. His roommate.. well, let's just say that she's addicted now. I found that quite funny. Until I installed it onto the computer here in the lab. Oops. I'm trying very hard not to continue my expansion with my Mongol hordes. What a great game tho, I think I'll be spending a bit of time tonight building empires..
weirDo took my network cables and should be adding ends to them sometime this weekend. We'll see.
There should be some leader get together at Bingeman's this weekend. I'm still deciding whether I should go or not. Hmm.. I wonder if it's going to be as cliquey as last year..
Some interesting things I saw at my normal news sites. Found out about a possible rechargeable battery via the keyboard from ZDNet although you'd have to be typing pretty fast and hard to keep the battery charged. Also, there are some pictures of Stevie over at ShackNews for those of you who want to see what the hell she actually looks like.
I should get going. Getting somewhat hungry. Itching to play Civ. Need to figure out my plans for the week.. need clothes.. man.. this will be busy..
