[9:38 AM EST - Dyndns is down.]

Argh! Dyndns.org is down. That means that none of my e-mail will be arriving at all. (I just turned off forwarding to my Sciborg account.) Remember to always send mail to my UW account. It should be up for a while, and when I sign up for my alumni account, I should be able to have that forwarding address indefinitely.

Okay, back to work.

[1:17 PM EST - Oh goody.]

This is what I found on the (now up) Dyndns.org page

Our ISP is currently having some routing issues, service availability may be up and down until these issues are resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Goody.

Hey, I forgot to mention that badminton was being offered on Tuesday nights as well as Mondays! Yay! Too bad I've got broomball. Boo.

[3:37 PM EST - Warm and stingy.]

It's such a nice day out there. Balmy for mid-February. Last night was quite warm as well. It would've been a good night for a walk.

My tongue's been annoying me lately. I think I burned off some taste buds last weekend when I took a sip of boiling hot cream of mushroom soup. Ick. Now eating anything rougher than the Hubble mirror feels like I'm trying to chew on sandpaper. Ick.

[5:43 PM EST - Redecorating.]

FlyingS's done a bit of redecorating on his page, as has Sparky. Hmm, quite a bit of movin and shakin going on in homepage land it seems.

Actually, I forgot to mention that them Americans had a long weekend just now. Lucky bastards! *shakes fist* Our next long weekend won't be until.. Easter. Wow, that's a long ways away.

I think I forgot to mention KGL's weekend recap as well as her sudden attachment to her contacts. Laz has been coughing up Counter-Strike (which I haven't played in AGES - which is actually a good thing).

On a totally unrelated topic, how do you Leafs fans think about this Lindros hoopla? Will he, won't he, will he, won't he, won't he join the Leafs? (Blake may be a better choice. But both? *wiggles eyebrows*)

Oh, I came across this at the ShackNews. I'm not sure if it's true or not, but it is still quite amusing.

[6:34 PM EST - So many files!]

Argh! I forgot that one of my scripts uses gnuplot, so I need to install that program onto my box before porting it over. Unfortunately, I also need to spit out graphics, which requires a library which requires another library which also requires another library.

*gasps for air*

Maybe I'll install it later.

[7:19 PM EST - Not so Gay.]

Ahh, that article I linked to above is probably fake. An article at the Sydney Morning Herald seems to deny the claim that they printed the story.

We haven't had an urban myth for a few days but how could we resist a story, which in one version doing the email rounds, purports to come from a Sydney Morning Herald report last month? This one came to us separately but almost simultaneously from Dougal McRae and Geoffrey Sonnichsen. As Dougal pointed out, this story has been seen referring to an American Airlines flight and no, the Herald did not run this story last month.

The article was purportedly printed on "Monday", June 15th 1999. Anyone else have anything to add?

[11:19 PM EST - I need to lie down.]

I must be getting older. My knees ache a little after finishing off a grueling hour on the ice. I actually got a good workout this time because I didn't take any breaks. Once I get over that first fatigue hump, I can keep going, and going, and going.. although not as effectively as if I was fresh of course. I first noticed this when I was biking avidly years (over a decade!) ago. I guess it carrys over into any other physical activity huh?

Nevermind that, I just heard this on the news on the way back home, but I found a link from the ShackNews. It seems as if Napster was going to offer one billion dollars to stay up. *raises pinky to lips*

Sorry, that was basically the only reason I wanted to mention that.

In other news, some guy got arrested for trying to heal some women. Well, considering HOW he was "curing" them..
