I just got a passage from the bible and the lyrics for "The Love Boat" from girl. Not too much to say, except that the passage she sent me was vaguely familiar. It took me a few minutes before I realized.. Yes! I HAVE heard it before, very recently, like at a.. wedding! Dusty's wedding in fact. So I quickly grabbed the little wedding pamphlet and checked to see which passage of the bible was recited during the wedding, and sure enough, it was the same one. I was thinking of posting it here, but it's rather long, so I'll just throw up the reference: 1 Corinthians 13.
Goody. Inbox cleared out, pages checked (see Laz and KGL), and work to do. Goody.

FlyingS found this quote entertaining:
This is funny in a pathetic, cigarettes-don't-cause-cancer sort of way:
"While we respect the Court's decision, we believe, contrary to the Court's ruling today, that Napster users are not copyright infringers and we will pursue every legal avenue to keep Napster operating."
--Napster CEO Hank Barry

Well, how are you all doing this snowy Valentine's? Not exactly the best weather, but hey, I always liked watching this type of snow drift from the heavens.
Work has been really picking up lately, probably because I've been given more and more tasks, and I've actually started to understand some of the stuff that I've needed to do.
Well, it's good that I'm learning. Even though I do have to work more. And to think, it'll only get MORE busy! Yippee!
Hmm, I wonder if NEAR was able to make it's little hop or not. Time to check huh?

I just checked out Laz's Napster Rant. He makes some good points in his tirade so I won't bother making any comments. Well, I will say something. Even if Napster does go down, they've already proven that this type of media distribution can be done on a massive scale, and someone(s) in the future will eventually step in to fill the void. One thing that springs to mind is Gnutella, although it hasn't caught on as much as Napster has.
Anyway, enough about that. KGL's thrown up a picture of her and her roommate.. hey, you know what? For someone who's camera shy, she's got a heck of a lot of pictures on her page! What's up with that?

Anyone using Roger Wilco? I found this at the ShackNews. Ick.
So how did your night out with your significant other(s) go? This of course only applies to those who actually have significant others. *breezes through log* Which doesn't seem to be many of you. Well, for those of you who are just buming around tonight, possibly watching the Leafs, all I have to say is: Enjoy it while it lasts!!
Geez, I'm not sure what the heck's churning in my stomach, but I ain't feeling too good. Actually, I do know what's in my stomach, but I didn't think I would react so poorly to it. *groans* I think some rest is in order. *yawns*

Some news before I go. The ShackNews had this link about some really smart kid who showed up on Springer with his pregnant 15yo girlfriend. He was later arrested for sexual abuse. (17 is the age of consent in Idaho.) Also, if sex is a pain in the butt, you're doing it wrong.
Finally, NVM's got a Valentine'sy entry up. Well, not really.

Really? I definitely don't remember that.. Of course, I don't generally remember much to begin with. (Had I got the e-mail message next week for example, I wouldn't have made the connection with the wedding.)

We see through a glass, darkly.
Not the stuff about love never failething, etc., but it's in there.
When I was a child, I spake as a child; I thought as a child; I understood as a child. When I became a man, I put away childish things. ... Now I abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.
Great passage.

Hmmm.. I had always thought it was "faith, hope, charity.. greatest of these is charity", which apparently is only in the KJ version. Quite a different angle.
Anyway, book1-corinthians13:11 is a great line.

The "charity" translation is given, supposedly, because the "love" referred to in the original text would not accurately be translated as romantic love, rather, a love-thy-neighbour sort of fraternal love. (lessens its Valentine's Day relevance, but it's cool anyway).
