[9:18 AM EST - Earlier.]

I went to bed a tad bit earlier so I made it to work also a tad bit earlier. Has anyone looked at the price of pallidium recently? You remember the cold fusion fiasco some time back right? Well, pallidium (which was selling at around a hundred bucks an ounce four years ago) is selling at over a THOUSAND dollars an ounce! Oh my.. It's worth more than three times it's weight in gold!

<- starts scrounging around for spare pallidium.

Also, the major search engines have released their top 50 or so search items. Number one on Altavista (I think.. it might've been Yahoo, but I think it's Altavista) was Britney. Ick. What was surprising was that the next two spots were taken up by DBZ and Pokémon! Yay anime! Boo DBZ and Pokémon. Oh well, you can't win them all. Maybe next year we'll have Kare Kano and Jo Jo's in the top ten. One can only hope..

[9:38 AM EST - About those clones..]

Before I go, I just noticed that Clone*Army has just been updated! You may want to check it out, along with HaremPresident's most recent update about his babyhood..

[1:21 PM EST - Yut Maan.]

Wow. Ten thousand. Who would've thunk that? Umm, there wasn't much else I wanted to say at this point, so I better get back to work.

[7:51 PM EST - Ice shoveling.]

I cleared out the driveway after I got back from work. Well, not exactly. I went out to look for a UPS right after I got off work. I headed out to Future Shop to see what was available. Not all too much actually. The APC UPS they had there was pretty heafty, and I don't have the bones to pay for the 150 dollar price tag ATM. Maybe I can split with girl..

Afterward, I went to do some banking, but when I got to the bank, I found out that they closed at four! What the hey? Time for me to find a new branch!

Then I got home and cleared out the driveway. Cleaning off the top layer of snow was easy, but since I hadn't been shoveling the driveway recently, and my dad has this fond habit of using the snow blower, there was quite a but of packed snow and ice that covered the asphalt. I could've taken the easy way out and threw sand and salt on it, but since I didn't have anything better to do..

It felt very gratifying as the hard packed snow and ice cracked and yielded to the unrelenting thrusts from my shovel. No matter how thick the ice was, I was able to chip away at the layer, gradually exposing the asphalt underneath. I was able to remove most of the snow, although some of the thinner spots were too difficult to remove. It's all kind of moot though, since in the end, it's not the shovel's edge, or the salt or sand that will overpower the snow, but the warming rays of the sun. Although that won't be too much of a factor for a few more months.

I should go eat soon. I've got broomball in an hour.

[8:35 PM EST - I'm gonna be late..]

Oh man, I ate too much for dinner tonight. *blorp* Happens all the time. Now I can't even get up and drive. It's terrible! (That's too bad.)

Okay, Laz has an entry up that originally looked like one of his recent entries but wasn't. (Older women? Bah! Go for the yunguns!) KGL's back from the dead and seems to be enjoying life on the west coast. That's about it I guess. Time to roll out!

[11:15 PM EST - More construction.]

Broomball was good, as always. Zippy showed up today, which.. well, I was a little surprised seeing how busy he usually is. Anyway, on the way back from broomball, I was at the intersection right before the 401 ramp, and I saw all of the cars ahead of me suddenly turning right. I found that a little odd until the car in front of me moved into the turning lane, revealing some sort of tow truck, and a row of pylons blocking the entrance to the highway! Doh! I quickly switched lanes and started turning right as well. Remembering what happened last time, I turned on the news to find out what was going on. I just hit one of the sweeps, and listened intently on the traffic report.

Apparently there was some sort of serious accident right at that intersection and so the highway was reduced to one lane until just east of that intersection. No problem, I could get on the highway at Yonge. I continued to listen to the news, and the traffic reporter continued on, saying that the collector lanes were closed from Yonge to Leslie, meaning that you can't get on the highway between those streets! Yikes! There goes that idea. I headed north on Yonge anyway, just to make sure, and sure enough, the ramp was blocked. Fortunately for me, I had listened to the radio and didn't pull into the ramp. The line of cars on the mini-street, on the other hand, were not as fortunate.

I decided to take the scenic route and enjoyed a slow drive through the city. Ahh. You know, I don't even think my dinner's finished digesting yet. *groan* I think I'll get some water.

[11:49 PM EST - Some links.]

I found a link on some new type of non-stick polymer at ArsTechnica. Also on ArsTechnica (as well as the ShackNews), there's something about IT. What is IT? I have no stinking idea. Finally, from the ShackNews, for those of you who like doing that Evolution/Creation debate, here's something to chew on.
