[10:05 AM EST - So this is Monday..]

Here we are back to the beginning of the work week again. How are you folks doing out there? I've got to remember to grab a wedding gift for next month's bash, and.. oops. I better go. I've got a job to do.

[6:26 PM EST - girl links.]

I got some links from girl over the day to keep me busy for the night. One was some photographing tips for skiing, the other was on some Simpson's folklore which came (later) with this quote:

Chief Wiggum talks about the Krusty's "partially gelatinated non-dairy gum-based beverages" which McDonald's calls "shakes".

T[rue]. Unless marked "dairy", fast food shakes aren't milk: mostly carrageen gel.

I heard about this quite a number of years ago (near the end of high school or at the beginning of university) from HKL. He kept mentioning that the slime they used for Alien saliva was the same stuff they used for fast food shakes. Yummy. (I guess it was when Alien3 came out.)

Hmm, I think I should start choosing gifts for next month..

[7:03 PM EST - More links.]

I've been doing a bit of snooping around and came across some articles. This one on the Pillsbury Doughboy vs software developers caught my attention. I found that one on the ShackNews. The next three I found on ZDNet. The first is about the future of adult sites during the next administration. (Oh no! Where am I going to get my pr0n?) I believe that even if the government tries to crack down on the illegal adult sites, there would be so many out there that the authorities will get overwhelmed by the work. We'll see though. The next link is about a new Linux worm that's floating around. I guess it's time to really batten down the hatches for my li'l box huh? (Maybe I should get MJO to try hacking in..) The third link was a commentary about the upcoming copywriting scheme that Microsoft will be using in Whistler (and is already using in Office 10). I've known about their plans for quite some time, but I never mentioned anything until now. Any thoughts?

Anyway, my battery's low. Gotta go..

[7:16 PM EST - Homepages.]

Oh hey, before I go and stuff my face full of food, I forgot to mention that Laz, KGL, and Tiffi all have updates up. Sorry, but I don't have much time to comment, except for the fact that Laz has quite a number of pictures up (including the two girls who's lips met..).

<- still annoyed at missing out on all the action.

[11:07 PM EST - Post-badminton.]

I just got back from a good night of badminton. I got quite a bit of playing time in despite the number of people that showed up today. Geez, I was barely on the bench at all in fact! That's a good thing. I think I need more exercise.

Surfing around, I came across three links from the ShackNews. The first one is for people who are wondering what IT is. Well, now you can wonder what THAT is. It pulled out two chuckles. The next article is about some silly warning labels. Finally, Soccer has been nominated for the Nobel Peace prize. What the heck? Are they running out of peacenicks or something?

Funny, that reminded me of something that happened during high school. I think this was during grade 10 French. We had a teacher come in to talk about Latin and try to get some of the students to take the Latin course. While she was asking for questions, one of the guys asked her to translate a phrase into Latin. It more-or-less came out as:

Pax per mortum.

Them's crazy boys.

I should go to sleep soon. I've got broomball to go to, and I really should go shopping for that gift before people take all of the good ones off of the registry. Also, by this time tomorrow, a certain sick traveller should be enjoying the balmy weather down in Orlando.. *shakes fist at the injustice* Oh well.
