[9:30 AM EST - Clear skies.]

Holy clear skies Batman! I walked out of the house this morning and was nearly blinded by the sunlight, which I haven't seen in it's full glory in weeks. (It might also have to do with the fact that I stay inside for the entire day.) Unfortunately, clear skies in the winter generally mean cold weather as well. Today is no exception. *shivers*

I was reading the paper this morning and came across an interesting gadget that's been installed in cars since the early 90's. It's called (if I can remember correctly) a SDM, or EDR which normally keeps track of your car's diagnostics so it knows when to deploy the air bags but can also be used as a "black box" to reconstruct accidents (to a certain extent). *checks car* Hmm, no air bag, no EDR. There's a story here.

Hey, has anyone been to the Google site recently? They changed their title to reflect the arrival of the year of the snake. They've even put up one of those fire cracker things with a Chinese symbol written on them. Too bad it's upside down! (No wonder why the snake's grinning.)

Okay, on to more productive stuff now.

[9:36 AM EST - Things to see (or not to see).]

Yo! Laz and KGL both threw up comments last night. I think I forgot to mention that yesterday but I'm mentioning it now. Oh yeah, KGL's even put up a new .plan! (Still has that bukaroo thing in there though..)

[9:56 AM EST - Upside down.]

Well, apparently I don't know much about traditions. The symbol on Google is supposed to be upside down. Don't ask me why, and don't ask girl why. (She's the one who told me.)

[6:24 PM EST - Oh boy.]

I've more or less completed my web tasks. There was one more thing that I needed to do, but that requires a server reboot..

I figured that I could leave that for later.

Right now I've been given a real VB task to do. It's a simple procedure involving VB, SQL and CSVs but boy this I think I need to be led through this one. We'll see how this one pans out. I'm aiming to finish by tomorrow. Ha!

[10:19 PM EST - Tool Shower?]

Well, I've been invited out to a tool shower. I've never actually heared of a tool shower before, much less gone to one. The first time I heard about this was when I talked to weirDo last week. It's being held this weekend in Cambridge. I still haven't decided if I'm going to be going or not..

I have been playing Starship Troopers tonight. I would do well, except for the fact that the sound keeps on cutting out on me halfway through some of my campaigns. This is normally just annoying, except for the fact that whenever I get a message from an NPC, I can't access my field map. Now that makes the missions nigh impossible to complete because I don't know where to go (especially since I can't hear what my objectives are supposed to be). Very annoying.

This problem stems from the fact that I'm using an MX300, which uses the Vortex 2 chipset made by Aureal. Funny enough, Aureal went bankrupt last year so I don't have any driver support. Goody. Perhaps Diamond will come to the rescue..

[10:34 PM EST - Stuff to read.]

I came across this rather unlucky guy who cut off his hand and then put nails in his head. Any of you using the internet who's thinking of killing someone can use internet intoxication as a defence! (Whatever!) Both of these I found on ArsTechnica. This last link (from the ShackNews) shows you that you should know English before trying to hijack a plane.

Hey look, KGL's alive still. So is Laz. *blink* Me getting tired.
