[9:33 AM EST - Sciborg's FUBARed.]

Great. Something's up with Sciborg and I can't access my e-mail. This type of problem has happened before, although I can't remember the cause or (more importantly) the fix. Hopefully this will all get sorted out soon, becuase I can imaging that there's a lot of students this morning who will be a little miffed that they can't access their accounts..

[6:03 PM EST - Productive.]

Wow, I had a fairly productive day. I was working on that little VB program today, and although I was completely clueless at the beginning, I started to get the hang of it, and by the end of today, I've got the main engine working. Now all I have to do is make it functional and make it look pretty. Goody!

Hey, guess what? Considering how much I was moaning and complaining about the Microsoft site being down on Wednesday, I didn't realize that the site went down again on Thursday. Apparently it got brought down by some DoS attack. Sucks to be them.

Well, at this point in the game, I think I need to see how my troops are doing. I'll be back later (probably when the sound konks out).

[7:14 PM EST - Transformers anyone?]

I got this link from HaremPresident to an e-bay auction of the entire set of first generation Transformers! Gadzooks!

Oh hey, KGL and Laz both have stuff up as well.

[8:18 PM EST - FASAless.]

Oh boy. I just heard on the ShackNews that FASA is closing it's doors. The company that brought us BattleTech (which ripped designs from various Japanese sources) is closing it's doors. That's too bad, I wonder what's going to happen with the BattleTech universe now that it's in someone else's hands?

Hey, for those penny pinching computer gurus out there, the developers of Counter-Strike are going to combine their code with the free Quake source code to have a free Counter-Strike clone floating around! Too bad it'll be incompatable with the original and it'll only be released as source. Still, the more the merrier..

[10:33 PM EST - Cookie?]

I've finally got around to playing around with cookies. Man, when I first got my hands on this cookie library, it looked daunting. One year later, it seems easier than falling off a bike. I know, I know, I've been toying with the idea ever since Laz made his comment on cookies when I first threw up my comment script. I also know how much I hate cookies, which means I probably won't be using this functionality, but hey, it's there if you need it.

Basically, this cookie is only used when one enters a comment. The cookie will store the name, e-mail, and url address that a commenter enters into the comment form so that next time, these fields will be filled with whatever they had written in them previously. You guys can test it out if you want. I've got other projects to worry about (like improvements to the search engine), but right now, I want to go to bed.
