[1:40 AM EST - Birthday.]

Wow, the surprise party thing went well. The birthday boy didn't see it coming, and quite a number of people showed up for the event. I nearly didn't make it to the bar. I didn't write down the name of the place nor did I write down the directions (although I figured that I knew where the place was). I did find the general area where the restaurant was, but it was also the same location of nearly a dozen other large restaurants! It took me some time before I found the right one. Well, at least I DID find the right one.

I had planned on staying there for an hour before leaving and going to the bank to do some money moving. I stayed for two-and-a-half hours. Oops. I made it home way too late to make it to the bank, so I just mailed my letter (which I had forgotten at home) and read.

Now I'm here. I should go to sleep soon. *yawn*

[2:14 PM EST - Maybe it could happen to me..]

Howdy folks. I've been up for quite some time now, but I've been busy with "waking up" activities. One of these activities included checking the news, and I came across this interesting link at the ShackNews. Also, while I'm here, I found the two lookbacks at the computer developments in 2000 (one and two) on Anandtech quite interesting.

[5:26 PM EST - Finally!]

After an agonizing afternoon of coding, I've finally got the darned search engine to display more relevant clips for the search entry results. It didn't particularly take a lot of code to do, but finding that combination required a lot of hiar pulling and face bashing.

At least it's done. I think I'll leave my other planned "improvements" until after my nerves have unfrayed.

Hmm, maybe I should blow things up..
