It's warm and humid today. Just how I don't like it. Oh well. I passed by someone who looked like one of my skating instructors this morning. I couldn't really tell. Just as I was passing her, she turned around to look, and in that split second, I got this blurry image of a face in my head. It took me a few more seconds to process, and quite a number of seconds to recognize. By then I was at the end of the street so I couldn't really turn back now could I?
As I was taking off my blades after I got to school, I noticed this bunch (flock? herd? annoyance?) of squirrels running around back and forth near the bush I was next to. I think there were at least seven of them running around near and in the bush making their squirrely noises. I was actually able to get close to one, but I figured I didn't want to bother the creature, as it was hiding in the bush for some sort of reason.
Anyway, it doesn't seem like I have a ride back to Toronto this weekend. Sucky.
Being a slow day, I decided to post a link from the ShackNews about this mother who kept her son locked up for thirty years. There were a whole bunch of other interesting news shorts, but I can't seem to find them anymore. Too bad.

I've decided to test out this windows thing. I'm not sure how effective it will be, or how annoying, but I'll leave it up for now to see what happens.
Helped Dusty move his flow tube. I didn't think it would be that big of a job, but the darned thing's a couple of hundred pounds! (At least!) Those of you who know me know that I'm not exactly a strapping lad either, so getting the darned thing up was quite a chore. Oi, there's my exercise for the day.
To answer Laz's question, yes, I'll be going back to Toronto, but I'll probably arrive late because I'll be taking the bus.

Hmm.. lynx will have problems running the calendar javascript. Geez, this means I have to write up a separate thing for non-javascript using browsers. Hmm.. that shouldn't be too much of a problem.. *types away*

So Laz, you interested in going out for a Japanese lunch on Saturday with the "person who wants to meet you" (TM)? Is Growly going to be in town as well? (If so, can he give me a ride?)
I haven't taken the GRT bus before. This will be a first. I have taken the buses around here, but that was when we had KWT. I don't think there would be that much of a difference, but waiting for the bus isn't on my list of favorite things to do. At least I'll have time to start reading Lord of the Rings.
Just got a plethora of e-mail over the last hour or so. I've been trying to pare down my inbox but I'm fighting a losing battle at the rate it's filling up.
While I'm here, Laz and KGL have updates up so check out what they're up to!
Now I should get packing..

I'm never good at doing this sort of stuff. I should get going soon. I think there's some sort of problem with one of my scripts (some timing thing which causes something to overwrite something else.. blah) but it's something for me to worry about at some other time. For now, I should get going. We'll see if I can make it back huh?

So wait.. are you coming to Toronto or not? Cause I wanna know (as I'm sure a few other readers do) who this supposed person who wants to meet me is!
Inquiring minds want to know.

I checked. According to this page, a group of squirrels is called a "scurry" (or a "drey," but the OED says that this refers to a squirrel's nest).
So there you go. "A business of ferrets?" "A romp of otters?" "A mumuration of starlings?" Who came up with this stuff, anyway?
