[9:38 AM EDT - Curses!]

I realized this morning that I didn't get any change for my twenty at the Swing Club meeting! *shakes fist* I guess it's a little late to ask for my money back..

Neck's a bit sore this morning, not sure why. It's also hot and humid out there and it's not even ten yet! Unfortunately, something's wrong with the air-conditioner in my office so I'm currently sweltering in the dark. *sweats*

[11:41 AM EDT - More changes.]

After checking the comments, I agree with FlyingS that the headers looked a little too blocky in arial, so I switched them back to comic sans ms. Looks much better now.

I've been combining the Journal layout with The PIT layout and will be done putting them together eventually. Now the only question is whether I want to play around with the windows or not..

[12:20 PM EDT - A link.]

I got a link about CJF's work. It's pretty interesting, but probably not everyone's cup of tea.

[2:11 PM EDT - Hoo boy.]

Just finished having a discussion with Dusty and weirDo about economics. That was long. Lunch hour turned into lunch marathon. Ah well. It did lead to an interesting metaphor that weirDo gave

"For example, a cheetah won't go after the fastest gazelle, it will go after the gazelle with the two left feet."

So I asked

"But don't all gazelles have two left feet?"

To which he replied

"You know what I mean you wisenheimer."

Hee hee.

While I'm here, I noticed that KGL has finally put up a new .plan!

A simple life

A simple .plan.

[2:59 PM EDT - Five five five five.]

I've decided to try out something else with the calendar windows. You may want to check them out and comment. Both links (which are currently located above the calendar) will open up mini-windows which have calendars. One will have links which are only active if entries exist for those dates, and the other will have links only if there are comments on those dates. Clearly the second one will be more sparce. I'm still tweaking this a bit, so bear with me.

There's a broomball game tonight. It's against the second best team in the league (I believe). Hopefully we'll have a better showing than our 7-1 thrashing at the hands of Riston's team last week (did I mention that SDS got six goals in that game? Ouch.).

[4:28 PM EDT - Jax is back!]

Jax has a new .plan up.

Yoohoo, I'm back. Modem's dead as a doorknob at the moment.

Jet lag, jet lag...

So I guess the kid's back on this side of the planet huh?

[10:10 PM EDT - Sweating up a storm.]

We got hammered tonight. The score was 7-0. Oh did we play badly. Well, it also helped the other team that they played well and were able to tip in a lot of the goals. I'm just glad we're playing the hard teams now, so that we learn how to play better, faster. Unfortunately we're not learning fast enough to win, just fast enough to lose less. Gotta remember to tell the defence to pinch in..

Now I'm all hot and sweaty. The humidity outside isn't helping much and the lack of air-conditioning is forcing me to move as little as possible. *reclines in seat*

[10:30 PM EDT - Psst! It's called a stethoscope.]

Been checking up on people's pages. It seems like anyone who's anyone's put up some sort of update. Laz has a link to some Clinton video, while KGL has some cryptic random thoughts posted (and boy do they look random).

Down south, Sparky talked about her day(s) at work (I assume it's at a video store?), while Tiffi has a couple of confessions.

[11:07 PM EDT - Time to go.]

The jury's still out whether I'm going to keep the calendar windows or not (now located in the Journal Index). But right now I think sleep is calling me..
