I wanted to throw the disc around today. The weather was ideal, even though it's a tad bit windy outside. I did manage to pick up the AV key and passed by DF and JJWB on the way there and back. They told me about SWD's defence which I decided to attend. I was given a message that my bound copies of my thesis had come in so I picked those up (really nice) before heading off to the defence. It was a pretty good talk actually, I think he'll do well.
Passed by CJWR on the way back from the defence and checked to see if he wanted to join our (desperate) broomball team. Unfortunately I found out that the trading deadline is today so I'm not sure if he can give us the information in time..
I've been reading over those old journals that I had from high school. It's taken me a little time to understand who the heck I was talking about (I was using nicknames and acronyms - ugh). I'm actually surprised that I could (read and) understand most of my writing! Actually, I shouldn't jump to conclusions, I've only just scratched the surface.. *eyes mound of notebooks*
Boy, I remember when I was in grade eleven when I had this crush on.. ick. I better go. I have the AV key and I want to pass it off to someone at the show before they blame me for not bringing it. *sigh* I should be back later..

Just stepped out from the CTRL-A show. Things going smoothly. We actually started on time, and even better yet, we stayed on schedule! Yay! Without dropping any shows! Yay! The world must be coming to an end! Yay!
Wait.. the world coming to an end is a BAD thing..
Anyway, I just wanted to mention that SWD's defence was a little bizarre. First of all, a couple of people asked questions during the talk (which is unusual). Actually, it's a little disruptive too. Anyway, after the talk, there were the questions from the audience, and then the quesions from the committee were asked after the audience was asked to leave. What's up with that? I heard from one person there,
"That's how [they] do it"
Really?
I should head back soon. I had to pick up my stuff since the hallway was going to be waxed tonight, which meant that I wouldn't have any access to my office later. Besides, I need to get my jacket. The darned Engineering Lecture Hall auditorium is freezing!
