[12:00 PM EDT - No subject.]

What an amazingly warm day it is. I had an extra shirt on and I only realized after stepping out of the house that I was way overdressed. The weather today is very summerlike due to the warmth and the humidity. I guess I might actually join Riston and crew to play football this afternoon.. we'll see.

Hey KGL (who has an update if you haven't noticed yet), I think Frosted Flakes are grr.. err.. good! I like `em! (I don't want to grow up, I'm a Frosted Flakes kid..)

[4:00 PM EDT - Tired, sore, and smelling kinda funny..]

Pain. So much pain. It wasn't the fact that I was running around for two hours playing football (which was quite fun actually), but during a play when I ran into this girl who must've jabbed me in the lower leg when we collided. Continued playing but couldn't run after that for the life of me. I don't think anyone noticed though (since I can't really run for the life of me anyway). Oh yeah, so I did got to the football thing that Riston put together. Had quite a number of people show up as well. Fourteen I think the number was. They were all surprised that I showed up (at least Riston was), but it's all good.

The teams were a little unbalanced, although from looking at the players I thought we were pretty even. Maybe we were lucky because we had so many interceptions which lead to touchdowns.. Hmm.. in any case, even after we lost one of our better players, we were still beating them.. *shrug* I dunno..

Oh yeah, speaking of Riston, while I was blading to get some groceries (yes, I bladed to school yesterday.. today as well! I hope it doesn't rain..) I passed by him. Didn't recognize him because the light was behind the guy and I'm not usually associating people with silhouettes, but he recognized me. Asked me if I was going to play football today. I guess the answer is yes! (Although I did say maybe last night.)

In any case, I think I'm going to go and goof off for a bit before hacking around with my slides..

Well, I did get to play about of cts, but I got a little side tracked by a little errand I had to run for the new paper we're writing. That took some time, and now I'm getting hungry. I should be back in a couple of hours, but before I go, Sparky's alive! Yay! More for me to read!

[6:00 PM EDT - Even more tired, sore, and funny smelling..]

So was a little longer than expected. Eh. Watched the first half of the Leafs game. Go Leafs! Go!

Here's a little poem from a budding girl poet:

(generally recited before eating a meal)
you're a sucker
you're a sucker
I'm gonna eat you suckers!!!

*smacks head*

Oh yeah, my supervisor asked me what time my defence was, I told him that it was supposed to start at ten-thirty, so he responded:

"I see. Ten-thirty `till two. We'll make it a long one."

Oi vey.. *grabs a few more journal articles*

[8:00 PM EDT - Ready to collapse..]

So here I am, still at school. You may be wondering why I'm still here? No no, I wasn't playing Counter Strike until this godforsaken hour. Actually, I had quite a nice rendézvous with a very sensitive gal tonight. Lightened my wallet a bit but it was money well spent IMNSHO. Ahh.. too bad it doesn't happen all that often. (Not the spending money part, the implied "having a good time" part.)

Now that didn't keep me here THAT late. What kept me here until the wee hours of the morning was the fact that I got an e-mail message from my supervisor discovering a problem with my potential.. and perhaps my code, which meant that my results may all be useless!! (Great time to find about it with my defence a few days away.) So I spent the last hour and a half checking my code, checking his code, checking the program to see what was amiss. An hour and a half, and it was just a mixup with the variables. This meant that my formulae were still good, my program was still good, my results was still good, and my thesis was still good. It's all good! *cheers*

Until the defence that is.. *gloom*

Holy crap! I've actually been up late enough to see KGL put up an update.. this is scary..

While I'm on the topic of updates, Tiffi has a rather sad and philisophical story to share. I remember hearing about someone who died in my highschool sometime in grade 11. I personally didn't know the guy, but after the news broke, one of the girls in my class started sobbing. I don't remember much about that, except that a year later, another student died in.. questionable circumstances. This girl I didn't now personally, but I knew of her, and of her sister as well (in the years behind and ahead of me respectively). I've always considered myself lucky that I didn't know anyone personally that has died yet. I guess you don't think about those things when you're a kid. Heck, I'm still not thinking about it now. But death comes so suddenly sometimes that.. well, it happens. Mind you, I don't know how I'd react if I found out someone's plane blew up, or if they dremt that the plane would blow up and was kicked off the plane only to die in some spectacular firey explosion in their house. *blink* But enough about that, I think typing at two in the morning is making me a little deranged..

Hey, I did a search for QYV and came up with this new site from Google. What interested me was that the address listed in there is the same one as the guy who signed my Guestbook! That's so freaky. (BTW, I hate to admit this but I do recognize that girl in the picture. No idea why that picture was used though..)

I figure I might as well add it here, but QYV is also an designation for the Deventer (Teuge) airport in Holland. I wonder if they chose that designation on purpose?

Ooh! Been doing a number of searches and found something that I hadn't expected (but probably should've). Hmm.. I guess I'll put it up, but I really should check..

Anyway, I should get going, it's already three-thirty and I really should get some work done this weekend (so far I've done bupkus). So night all, don't do anything I wouldn't normally do..
