[10:05 AM EDT - In already?]

Made it in earlier than normal, but that's probably because I skipped breakfast today. Why did I do that? *stomach grumbles* So I'm here at school wondering what to do. Actually, I know what I have to do, I'm just wondering if I can avoid it (answer: no).

Jax has a new .plan up:

I'm off! I'll tell you all about it later!
Good luck to all those defending.

Aww.. I wonder who she's talking about?

Okay, let's see how many slides I'll have to put together..

[3:47 PM EDT - Have I been.. working?!?]

So here I am, worried that I won't get my slides completed much less actually understanding all of the material I should be studying (but I haven't). I've been paring down the number of slides for my talk and I'm hovering around 25 at the moment. For a thirty minute talk that's pretty good. Unfortunately, I still have a few slides to add (which is bad). I've already cut out a huge chunk of introductionary material so I don't know what else I can drop.. acknowledgements perhaps? I don't think so.

Well, I missed my chance to see Mr. Productivity Killer. Ah well, at least KGL's got a new entry up. So does Laz in fact, something to do with having problems with the bank..

Went to Jose's for lunch today. I dunno, I think these two dollar (2.25 actually) burgers are going to kill me one of these days. They're starting to sit less and less well in my stomach. But as you know, I'm a cheapskate.

[5:32 PM EDT - Oops!]

Seems like I forgot to change the date for this entry. No wonder why it came out funny when I surfed to it. All fixed now! (Still working on my slides.. really!) I'm nearly done with my slides actually, but what I'm worried about is the fact that I'm just going to dive right into my results.. it might be a bit hard to follow, but I only have thirty minutes to talk and that won't be enough time..

[6:37 PM EDT - News!]

Anyone want an Espresso? Go and check out the manufacturer's site if you want. I heard about this on ArsTechnica.

The ShackNews had an intersting story up about some seven year old kid who stole his sister's car and drove around looking for some Cherrios.

Wow.. I think Tiffi got a lot off of her chest in her last entry. I'm starting to understand what the heck happened over the past month or so, but right now I think I have bigger worries.. (defence! Ahh!) Still I think things are calming down down there, so things should be getting back to (crazy) normal!

Oh yeah. I lied. I do remember one more person who died who I knew (well not really, but more than the two I mentioned a few days ago). He died more than a year ago, but to be honest, I could only think of one story (apart from the night we fleeced him in MJ) that stuck in my memory. To be honest, I didn't really feel much when I heard the news. A little guilt perhaps, for not getting to know him more, and maybe a little sadness for his family, but apart from that, what else could I do? *shrug*

Oh well, I'll keep thinking of people who died. Oh yeah, there was my great-grandfather who passed away when I was a kid. That didn't affect me at all. Then there was my great-grandmother, which was kinda sad. There was an aunt who died recently, which is kinda sad as well. But to be honest, I never was really close to any of these people to cry and mourn over their loss. Pretty sad that. Personally, I think we're all immortal!! *poses*

Actually, thinking of that skating story brought back this memory from my last skate on Friday. One of the ladies there was talking to me after I had just fallen and she told me that she had broken her wrist the first time she was ever on the ice. The kicker was that she was standing still! At that point I remembered that lady standing in the corner of the rink who I crashed into all those years ago who also thought that she broke her wrist..

Nah. What are the chances?

[7:40 PM EDT - Okay, time to go home..]

Well, I've got my preliminary slides up and ready now. *looks at stack* Man, there's a lot of them. I think it's time for me go head home now. The weather's been pretty crappy today, but I don't want it raining on me on the way back (since I bladed in). Hopefully this looks good for tomorrow..

Two days left..
