Seems like I never actually got around to finishing yesterday's entry. Ah well, I had forgotten that I set the dinner time to six-thirty so by the time I checked the clock, I had to go.
Anyway, last night's dinner was pretty good. Lots of food, and it was all good! The movie which we saw (U-571) was.. okay. I guess. A somewhat glamourized sub movie that.. really didn't do much for me. "Maybe it was full of explosives." was a good quote I heard from FlyingS.
While the credits were rolling, someone noticed that Jon Bon Jovi was one of the actors in the movie. Naw.. I didn't believe it until I saw it myself! Coincidentally, when I got back home, I surfed the channels and came across Larry King Live, and he just happened to be interviewing a bunch of the actors from the movie, one of which who happened to be the singer himself! Bizarre.
Oh yeah, we have a bird nesting on our doorlamp. It looked funny to me and I couldn't recognize it. It had this funny shade of grey and seemed fairly calm when I was checking it out. When we got home last night, HNT told me that it was a dove. Really? He told me not to scare it off because it brings us good luck. Perhaps. (A dove? Cool.)
I don't know what's going on today, but I'm the second person to be in today and it's already way past nine. Gee.

So I'm halfway through with the first round of corrections. Partway through the revision, I realized that I had to redo some of my data (doh) so I think this is going to take a little longer than anticipated. Well, I actually did finish acquiring the data, I just have to rewrite part of this thesis.. not a fun job. I also remembered last night that this Friday is shot because of the (GWC)2 meeting and poster session! That means I only have two days to do these corrections! Oh man!
Okay, back to work.

Actually, the twenty pages is a little misleading since I still have to redo a plot and a table. I also have to add an extra paragraph in one of the chapters that I've gone through already so I really have more work to do. Ah well, always look on the bright side of revisions..

Been playing D:FS2 good game. I've got ten more pages to correct and some other stuff to do before I can hand in my thesis. Whew! It's nearly all over!
This morning I faced the daunting task of taking a shower while missing skin on certain parts of my chest. Not very comfortable, especially when the soap started flying. *wince* I usually end up getting either an arm or leg scratched up, which isn't so bad because then I could keep that limb out of the way from the shower spray and save myself some pain. This *points* was just annoying. I hope I heal quickly.
Went outside to throw the disc around during lunch. The weather was pretty good for it today. I'm glad I was able to enjoy it (and not have KGL nag me about doing my thesis).
While I was sitting inside my office this afternoon, I heard some sort of muffled drone start up. I thought it was some sort of centrifuge that someone fired up but weirDo came in and told me C2 was burning down. Well, the building wasn't actually burning down, but the fire alarm was going off. I even went into the hallway to check for myself. Sure enough, the alarm was blaring and you could see the light in the hallway connecting ESC to C2 was flashing. The "do not enter this building if this light is flashing" light. I watched as people streaned out of the building and down the stairs. It must've been a drill or something but I never got any word about any tests going on.
Some time later, the alarm in our building went off. Ah well, I guess we really had to go and follow the drill. After heading towards the stairs, weirDo suggested that I should bring my disc along as well.. what a good idea! So we had another fifteen minutes outside to throw around the disc while this hooplah died down. After that, I got in front of my computer and continued my D:FS2 game. Now I'm here.
Pretty productive huh? Don't answer that.
