[12:00 PM EDT - Changing content and information.]

A bit of an uneventful day. Been mulling over what to do about this and that.. of course I'm being intentionally vague, as if it'll make a difference. I have a funny feeling that I should have checked tho.. this would've been a good time to get some things out of the way, but I didn't think anyone was in. Ah well, next time.

There was a broomball game today. The first competitive game was played against one of the less experienced teams. After going up 2-0 we started going easy on them, but heck, we wanted to keep our stats up right? The final score was 7-0, I even got two goals! Amazing! Our next game will be in a couple of weeks, so we'll have considerable time off.

I don't have much more to say. I've got a bit of thinking to do. Also, for all of the revelations and proclamations I make on this page, they quickly get buried under the tedium of everyday life (i.e. the daily updates). There's no way in the world for me to keep every single entry interesting, but by leaving something interesting on for more than a day, it becomes old and uninteresting. Perhaps that is the problem that the entertainment industry faces. So much new and interesting stuff has come around that we get so used to expecting more, greater, better stuff around the corner. Every corner. This, of course, is not sustainable. Every now and then, something profound and provocative comes along, but all in all, it's the same old, same old. Some of the plots that do push the boundaries tend to push in a manner that would make conservatives cringe, and in the extreme case, be reviled.

Consider also the computer industry. With computational power doubling every two years, it's no wonder that the technological boundary is outstripping our ability to comprehend the consequences of our ongoing desire for more power. As we plunge headlong into the information age, how can we hope to understand the full impact that this new era will have on us? On our children?? Already, the children of this age are vastly more computer literate than their parents and guardians, who, ten years ago, didn't have any need for instantaneous access to the torrential flood of information also known as the internet.

But now, those who don't have it are left behind in the dust of progress and those who do have it cannot part with it even if their sister's cat's pet mouse's life depended on it.

It is an addiction to information, and I am an information junkie.

Eh, perhaps I'm overreacting, perhaps this new age will bring true peace and harmony to the world. We do know enough to be able to use it, to manipulate it, and to take advantage of it, but with our track record, it is another resource that humanity will squabble, squander, and waste since we still do not truly understand it.

And I thought this entry was going to be short. It's time for me to go, I could be wrong you know, this is somewhat pessimistic. Then again, with all of this positive attitude from those around us, I like looking at it from the other side, for once. Now, I have to feed myself, excuse me.
