[1:19 PM EDT - Chain Links: Dana Porter got F-ed up.]

Derelict passed along a link to an article on Boing Boing that I found interesting. (Is it true?)

[5:18 PM EDT - Ground veal expiry date.]

I bought some ground veal last week to use in my spaghetti sauce (there was no ground beef available for some reason). I picked up the meat because there was a small pamphlet attached to the package advertising a whole list of neat recipes that use veal. I figured that it would be nice to check out, so I bought the package and brought it home.

When I peeled off the recipe listing, I noticed one thing: none of the recipes used ground veal. You needed strips, or steaks, or even chopped pieces of veal, but none called for ground veal. What the hey? It's like buying a Corolla and getting the user manual for a Tercel. Similar vehicles, but the manual is pretty much useless.

In addition, I bought some chocolate soy (a staple at my place). It was the last carton on the shelf and I noticed that there was no expiry date printed on the top. I was a little wary of this, but I had a craving for this stuff so I picked it up anyway. I had some of the drink this morning and it was the best tasting chocolate soy I've had in a long time! I found it quite odd that I'd notice a difference between cartons, but there you have it. I wonder if there really was a difference? Maybe it went bad? *takes another swig*

[7:05 PM EDT - GD Graph.]

I finally got around to playing with dynamic graphics using the GD library. It was a little easier than I thought, after I gave up the notion of passing information from the calling page to the image generator. It doubles the calculation time, but so few people look at that page anyway that it doesn't matter. At least it works, with a few issues but I'm pretty happy with it.

Now to work on other things on my list.

[7:10 PM EDT - Constantine.]

I finished reading through Constantine. It was a very quick read. Heck, an adolescent would be able to breeze through it. It was.. as Squishy would say: "Meh".

[Saturday, April 15, 2006: Watching paint dry..]

Well, spell checking is close enough. It's going to take me some time to go through my old entries to finish spell checking them. It's mind numbingly annoying and I have tons of spelling errors in my old entries, not to mention typos and non-words as well!

I ended up getting back to the point where I was when my computer died, so I'll be backing up my work fairly often from this point on. I wouldn't want to do this a third time.
