I was driving home from my parents place tonight when I got cut off by some lady driving a blue Honda Civic. I had to brake hard not to get hit. I have no idea why I didn't lean on the horn or flash by high beams.. er.. high beam (I haven't replaced the headlight yet). I probably should have. The next time the lady changed lanes, she nearly hit a minivan before swerving back into her lane. Don't you check your blind spot (or mirrors) lady?!?

I forgot to mention something about my trip to Las Vegas. On two occasions, I had ordered iced tea, and I was given bottled tea from The Republic of Tea (specifically Republic Darjeeling and Mango Ceylon). It was unsweetened tea which didn't have the normal bite and bitterness of tea, so it was.. interesting. Actually, it was quite bland. However, I could taste the mango in the second tea but it was very weird not getting any of the aftertaste..

There was a surprise birthday party for one of our family friends down in Ottawa, so my dad and I (my mom was too sick) drove out to Ottawa to partake in the celebrations. The scheduled time of arrival was noon, but we got in forty-five minutes early. I was worried that we would spoil the surprise, but I saw MK at the door and gave the sign for "are we too early?" and she told us that it was okay for us to come in.
What I should have prepared for was the other surprise. My dad started talking and it was too late for me to stop him from spilling the beans. Surprises and my dad don't go well together.
Anyway, there was a good number of people who showed up for the party. Many of the people there I should have met before at other events but I couldn't remember any of them. We didn't stick around for long though, we left after a few hours since I had to work the next day.
The drive back was heavy, and there was one really bad spot where there was construction on a bridge (the highway was down to one lane). What was annoying was seeing that nobody was working on the bridge and seeing the huge hole in the road, which meant that there was no way that the road would be open for the huge rush of people coming back from wherever tonight and tomorrow night. We were lucky to miss the rush, and we still waited twenty minutes to get through!
I ended up having dinner at my parent's before heading home.
