[11:49 AM EDT - Caveat Lector: Yup, it's good to read the fine print.]

I recently got a message from Hilton HHonors regarding that e-mail I got a few days ago.

You were recently sent multiple email messages in different languages from Hilton HHonors® announcing No Blackout Dates for Gold VIP members.

Please disregard those extra email messages, and accept our sincerest apology for any confusion this may have caused. We appreciate your loyalty to the Hilton Family of Hotels.

I guess they probably got a lot of complaints?

[11:52 AM EDT - Teeth, hair, and wiper.]

I went for my semi-annual dental checkup this morning. Apparently I've been keeping my teeth relatively clean despite the new hardware. I was also given a number of new brushes to use which are designed specifically for cleaning braces. Yay.

I got my hair cut afterwards and my head feels a heck of a lot more airy.

Finally, I went to the local Canadian Tire to pick up a replacement bulb for my car and a new wiper. The wiper on the driver's side doesn't seem to clean a small arc of the windshield and it's been bothering me. The new one works like a charm, but now I've got this 24" Reflex wiper that won't work for me. Does anyone else want to try it out?

[12:11 PM EDT - Excising the links.]

I've noticed that a lot of the entries I throw on to here are links I pull from other sources, so I'm planning on splitting these out into a feed style format and keep the journal portion more about.. well, the journal thing. Hopefully it'll keep the number of entries down.

[2:34 PM EDT - Still one headlight.]

I know how to do it, but I don't know how to do it. The manual states that you need to pull the weather protection off by pulling the tab. Good. Unfortunately, there's no space behind the light socket from which I could pull the tab. I can't get any leverage. Also, once I've gotten the weather protection off, I need to unclip the bulb from the socket. That won't be very easy when I can only slip a few of fingers in behind the light.

Apart from taking the whole assembly out or moving some other components, is there an easier way of doing this?

[Monday, April 24, 2006: Another patrol party.]

I went to the year end banquet for the patrol. It was a lot closer this year than it was in previous years so I was able to leave a little later than usual and still get there on a timely manner. Oh, and I drove DE which was a good thing because when I looked up the location of the event, it showed a spot that was basically a farmer's field. I didn't pay too much attention to it but DE actually went to the venue's web site and found out that the location was far from where I was looking. He was right.

The party was good. The food was tasty and there was a lot of it. Our group got a fair number of awards, but we didn't get the patrol of the year unfortunately. I was a little surprised but.. eh. I'm not running the show so I don't care. I ended up getting pulled onto the dance floor so I bounced around for a couple of hours, and I got to talk to a lot of people who I probably won't see for a long time.

GG told me to give him a shout once I get my bike. SS told me about another trip to the cottage. Also, the wedding for KB and JM will be held next year sometime. I should be up for that.
