I'm glad I've been doing backups of the system, but pissed off that I didn't do these things daily.
Anyway, the hard drive died on my server. I can't get it up and I don't have time to diagnose or recover the data, so I threw the backup on line. (Quite serendipitous since I was in the middle of setting it up.)
I'm not sure why it died, but I'm hoping that this machine will last for a while until I can figure a more permanent solution to my server issue.

I screwed up the domain name and wasn't able to connect to my server to fix it. Ah well, hopefully it's working now so that I can work on it tomorrow.

I went to my parents place or dinner and was asked whether the place smelled funny or not. I didn't notice any odd odours though. Mind you, I go every week, so I may be desensitized.
I went to badminton afterward. Had a lot of close games, which means that I had to work a fair bit. Good for exercise. Bad for sore muscles. *stretches*
I spent the rest of the night trying to get the server up and running again. I couldn't get the mail working for some reason, and I never took notes as to how I got it working the first time, so I'll be spending some nights trying to get it all back together again. I can pull from my Hotmail account, but nobody sends stuff to my Hotmail account. (And I don't want people sending stuff to my Hotmail account.)
Getting mail from my regular account and sending mail still doesn't work unfortunately..
