[10:39 AM EST - Crap.]

This is really crappy. Not fatal, but annoying.

Crap.

[12:14 PM EST - Home at last.]

So I'm at home ATM. I'll explain later. Right now I've got some bookkeeping to do, so..

[12:27 PM EST - Feeling old..]

When I got back home today, we had some new kid (maybe nineish?) being babysat for the day. After I had wandered into the kitchen, he looks up and says,

"Hello uncle."

*face fault*

Oh, stab me in the heart! I'm not THAT old am I?!? He later corrected it to "Hello [big brother]." but the damage was already done. *hobbles up the stairs*

[12:40 PM EST - Time to invest..]

Okay, this morning as I was driving to work, I heard the strangest thing on the radio. The DJ played the song "The hardest part about breaking up (is getting back your stuff)" by 2gether. What the heck?!? I think caught parts of the show on Much when I was flipping channels, but I didn't think they'd be playing any of their songs! *flabergasted* Besides, weren't they a boy band parody? *listens to lyrics* Oh yeah, quite right. I laughed the rest of the way to the office.

Hey, it kind of shocked me when I saw how much of a rush people get during rush hour. There was a nice stretch of road on my way to work where there are no traffic lights, and I found out that I was going over eighty in a sixty zone. *looks around* In fact, we ALL were! To be honest, I think I was holding them up as well..

I got to work and.. *looks around* Odd, why is my monitor facing the wall? *looks down* And where did my computer go?

*squeaking noise can be heard coming out of ears*

<- sudden realization dawns on this unfortunately dense soul.

No way! *rushes out to see the damage*

Yup, way. Well, there wasn't much I could do after doing my rounds, so I headed back home.

Before I went home, I decided to take the extra time off to head to the bank and make some investments. The markets are down (like WAY down) and this is a good time to spend some money. It seems as if computer inventories are starting to dry up, so prices for boxes should be going up soon. *starts ordering new system*

The guy I went to see about throwing money into an investment ended up widthdrawing twice from my GIA. I wasn't sure if he was going to do that when I was making my requests, but I took a look at my books and noticed the two entries in my statement. I aksed him if I would be charged a service charge for the second widthdrawal. He had a blank look for a few seconds before giving me his card and telling me to come see him if I did get charged at the end of the month.

*grumbles*

Great, now I should probably deposit my USD cheque. I figure this is a good time as any to cash this money before I lose it. *pockets cheque* Too bad I forgot about it on the way to the bank. It would've been much more convenient to do everything at once. *sigh*

I guess I should check the news now.

[1:03 PM EST - And then..]

I should go out and enjoy the weather while I can. I don't get these days off very often and I've been spending my time inside so far! *eyes blades*

Anyway, I noticed that KGL has a comment, while NVM's feeling a lot happier. Finally, Jax has a rather longish recap of the past two weeks. All she has to do now is say it all a micromachine man speed and you'd probably feel like you were in her shoes.

Dang, I also have to figure out why I lost so much money here.. *points at bank statement*

To much to do..

[3:43 PM EST - Why is it up?]

Whoa, I just went to check up on FlyingS and it seems as if he's been doing a bit of searching. He found something, something that.. well, he found something.

I do wonder why some people do put their entire life up for the whole world to see. Despite the premise of this site, The PIT is not really my life. A life is full of thoughts, feelings, and emotions that intermingle with those of other people. This page is a journal, not a diary. It is a listing of events, of interesting points, and occasional commentary.

I know (now) the repercussions of baring your soul to the world, and I know how it affects those around you. Knowledge is a dangerous thing, especially if you only have a little bit of it. There are times when some people know too much, but more often, people just know too little. I often fall into the "too little" catagory, so I try to keep my opinions to myself. Usually unsuccessfully. Opinions are easy to come by. Informed opinions are rare.

But back to the thought at hand. Why do some people have online journals? Many people use them too keep in touch with friends who are away, or keep people informed on what things have been going on. But there are a lot of people who do put their life in HTML, they share their lives with anyone who's willing to listen.

Why?
