[6:14 PM EST - Peace is falling! Peace is falling!]

Hey, has anyone seen any footage of the Mir dump yet? Yes? No? Maybe? So? Anyway, I finally went out to order my new system. It should be ready in a week's time. *starts marking off days on the calendar*

I've got the profiles on the Forum more-or-less working now. I haven't tested them out fully yet, but you guys are welcome to check it out.

[6:44 PM EST - Getting hungry..]

Man, this is what happens when you wake up late and have a late breakfast. You don't get no free lunch. *stomach growls* I think I can hold out until dinner.. *more growling*

So yeah, I ended up going down to Etobicoke to order my new box. Even during the early afternoon hours, traffic was not so good on the 401, but I was doing pretty good speedwise so I shouldn't complain. It was a nice drive, although it would've been nicer if I was able to walk/blade/bike the distance since it was warm and sunny today. I don't think we'll be getting this kind of weather this weekend unfortunately.

Anyway, after I ordered my new system, I got outside and decided to take Lakeshore across town instead of going back up onto the expressway. I rarely (if ever) travel down in those parts of the city and I wanted to do a bit of exploring. The area around the store was pretty nice, very open and the residential areas further east were inviting. I wonder what life was like in Long Branch and Mimico before they got amalgamated into Etobicoke. The drive was very nice. There were few traffic lights, and you could catch a glimpse of the lake every time you came across an intersection. I was very tempted to stop and take a stroll, but I was going to be cutting through downtown and I didn't want to get caught down there in the middle of rush hour. I pressed on.

Once I had entered the old city of Toronto, the buildings gave way and I was treated to an open view of the lake and the surrounding parks. It seems such a nice place to relax, especially on a day like today. Traffic was also very good. I think there were only a dozen or so cars that I could see on the road, which, for a three laned street, is pretty darned good. I could see traffic building up on the Gardener, so I pressed on.

Eventually, once you get past the CNE grounds, the road reenters the developed lands. The quays are a location full of condominiums and stores. Most of the factories that used to dot the landscape have all but disappeared. The familiar stench of the slaughterhouse down at the east end has been gone for more than a decade. But I still remember..

I eventually had to get back onto the expressway, which is too bad, since the side streets offer a much better view of the city. I also ended up getting stuck in a huge traffic jam on the DVP.. *grumbles*

Ahh, I'll see if I can take my time when I go and pick up my computer.

I've checked and noticed that Laz has a lot to say, while KGL has a little to say. Finally, Jax enjoyed one of my constructions.

I checked the news on ZDNet and it seems as if there's some sort of Linux worm that's floating around. Checks webbox. It's still good! It's still good!

[7:29 PM EST - Riding for heart.]

I got my Ride for Heart pamphlet in the mail today. It's taking place on June 3rd. So who else out there wants to try it out?

[9:16 PM EST - Oops..]

Mental lapse on my part. I screwed up one of the variables on the profiling script (it wasn't saving the profile). It should be fixed.. (I've still got a number of features to add.)
