[9:18 AM EST - Earlier.]

I went to bed a tad bit earlier so I made it to work also a tad bit earlier. Has anyone looked at the price of pallidium recently? You remember the cold fusion fiasco some time back right? Well, pallidium (which was selling at around a hundred bucks an ounce four years ago) is selling at over a THOUSAND dollars an ounce! Oh my.. It's worth more than three times it's weight in gold!

<- starts scrounging around for spare pallidium.

Also, the major search engines have released their top 50 or so search items. Number one on Altavista (I think.. it might've been Yahoo, but I think it's Altavista) was Britney. Ick. What was surprising was that the next two spots were taken up by DBZ and Pokémon! Yay anime! Boo DBZ and Pokémon. Oh well, you can't win them all. Maybe next year we'll have Kare Kano and Jo Jo's in the top ten. One can only hope..

Thanks for the bugs. It's fixed now. (One was due to some problem with -e, while the other was a typo - well, not really, but you have to be careful with quotes when using scripts calling scripts.)

The mousepad is made by Everglide, and I might be getting rid of mine if I decide to get that new optical mouse..

(It's too bad they don't have a remote optical mouse yet.)

How are those mice for gaming, anyway? I've been told they feel less responsive for detailed work like on scoped rifles.

As for the "so far" in that article on creationism, I'm happy to say the religious right only exerts that kind of power in the US - there's not even a debate over here in Europe, evolution has won.

I don't know how good those optical mice are WRT gaming. I've haven't tried one yet. The only improvement over the original is that you don't have to clean those annoying wheels. Also, the new Intellimouse (which I was looking at) seems to have some built in web surfing buttons, which may actually be quite convenient, much more so than those silly internet keyboards. (I mean, why put a stop button on there? It's just the same as the ESC button!)

Well, the article mentioned that when the theory of evolution first came out, there wasn't much critisism from the Creationists. It's just recently that the Creationists have started gaining ground. I don't know why, although I have been hearing all the news from down there lately. Fortunately, nothing like that is happening in Canada that I've heard of. Yet.

Oh, I came across this quote recently:

"Science has proof without any certainty. Creationists have certainty without any proof."
