[11:10 AM EDT - Still morning.]

That's funny. How did I get up so early? Hrumph. Anyway, I got a link from girl about some sort of job listing which I should check out. *sigh*

[2:25 PM EDT - Cut off.]

I got cut off while putting up the second entry today and couldn't get back until recently. Argh. I can't remember what I wanted to say either! Anyway, I've been making changes the the site off-line, so I wouldn't have the same disconnection problems the have plagued me recently, but this thing about switching between DOS and Unix format is annoying..

Oh yeah, I've slowly started putting up more pictures, see if you can spot them. I also don't think anyone's put up any updates recently, although it IS a Friday..

Anyway, I have to get back to fixing up my pictures. I had some photos lying around and I want to put them away before they get lost forever. (Captions too. Hmm, captions..) You know, those Advantix photographs are cool, until you try to put them into a photo album. They don't fit! Curses!

[7:29 PM EDT - Tickets!]

I had completely forgot about getting tickets for the broomball tournament that's being held in Victoria at the end of next month. The time is flying by and I haven't prepared anything yet! Oi! I'm not even sure if I need to buy some broomball shoes or other equipment or what not. Hmm, I wonder how well prepared we'll be for this..

[8:42 PM EDT - MTV MVA.]

You know, there's all of this talk about Britney Spear's thing on the MTV music video awards thing, and I was wondering, did I miss something? *rushes off to look for pictures*

Oh yeah, I found a seat sale with round trip tickets to Victoria for only 399! Not too shabby. Now all I hae to do is to get my hands on a few tickets..

I went to my old high school this afternoon. We went to check up on a relative working there. Man, the place hasn't changed a bit! Everything looks the same, the kids look young, the teachers look old, and the kids clear out of the school on a Friday afternoon quicker than rats from a sinking ship. Man that place was so dead in less than thirty minutes! It's amazing how things look when you have a completely different perspective. (Okay, that seemed like a pretty obvious statement, but it's really more profound than it sounds!)

Actually, the school was a little too dead. There were no extra curricular activities going on and no students milling around inside of the school. Maybe it was because it was the first week of classes, but still, it was eerie.

On the way back from the school, I noticed a rather interesting road sign that I haven't seen before. Maybe I'll go back to get a picture, but it's the silhouette of a duck with a baby duck behind it. Ain't that cute?

Oops, gotta go. Will be back later.

[9:04 PM EDT - Updating around.]

Laz and KGL both have updates up. KGL also has a few pictures up as well!

I've gotten rid of Office 97 from my machine, and after some creative uninstalling, I put on Office 2000. I'm glad it doesn't have problems coping with Win2k, but I haven't put it through the ringer yet. So far, I'm pretty happy..

What did annoy me was the fact that when you try removing a user in Win2k, it doesn't remove everything. Actually, it left the entire user folder in the "Documents and Settings" directory! I hadn't realized this until I set up a new user with the same name. There was no problem with setting up the account, but it saved the information into a different folder! What the heck? I tried deleting the old directory (to no avail) and then I tried removing the new user and setting up another user of the same name. Again, another new user directory was set up with a different name. I guess Microsoft didn't think that people would add and remove users of the same name a lot. In any case, after some careful registry hacking and directory removing (I figured out why I couldn't delete the directory, one of the directories in the directory was protected), I cleaned out the mess and brought everything back under control. So it seems.

Ah, the joys of being a sysadmin on a one user machine..

Anyway, I haven't touched my Linux box at all today, been too busy with user management on this system. *kicks computer* In any case, I'm going to go check on news.. (and must remember to buy plane tickets.)

[9:22 PM EDT - Who let the dogs out?]

I'm amazed that this song has gotten more and more popular lately. What's up with that? I remember we used it as our frosh group chant. Two years ago. As a joke! (It was like some sort of carnival song they bumped into.) Crazy.

Ah, but it was still really fun, and it was a popular chant. *reminisces*

"Where are my dogs at?"

[9:57 PM EDT - Last seat.]

I've just bought my tickets for the trip to Victoria. There were no tickets left for November the 5th, but I was able to grab the last seat for the 29th, and a seat for the morning of the 6th. Whew! *wipes brow*
