[3:26 PM EDT - War is bad.]

One more thing I would like to mention about Band of Brothers is that the series goes through many of the major battles on the western front, but from a different perspective or completely different locations for the Normandy Invasion which was glorified in 'The Longest Day', or Operation Market Garden which was dramatized in 'A Bridge Too Far', or the Battle of the Bulge that was mentioned another classic: 'Patton'.

But there was one part in the series that really caught my attention. During one of the status reports on the war, Nixon was telling the troops:

"Apparently the Krauts forgot to blow up one of the bridges when they headed back over the Rhine."

This event also made it to the silver screen as 'The Bridge at Remagen'. Which most people may not have picked out. Just a lot of little things I guess..

[Monday, June 11, 2007: A game instead of a track.]

I had a couple of options for today. I could have gone to the track to watch the group do their laps, or I could have stayed at home to continue our Neverwinter Nights 2 campaign. Since we had a three week hiatus, I decided that the game came first, even though the weather was perfect for riding!

We had fun though, and to top things off, the guys I would have gone with to the track went to the wrong track! Neither of them have apparently been there, and apparently they were close. They went here instead of here. Technically they were misled, so I am pretty glad I did not take part.

Since I did not go to the track, I had time to check out a really cheap leather chair that was being held outside of the city. At twenty-five dollars, I could not really turn down the offer, so I am now sitting in a much more comfortable (and larger) desk chair. If only I had the space..
