[7:51 PM EDT - Dream Sequence: Class O.]

I had watched part of 'Harrison Bergeron' (we read the short story during English class in high school) yesterday which explains part of the dream I had this morning.

I found myself in a very strange home, where everything was painted in pastels and decorated with a 1950s flavour. Me and the guy I was with were being put through some tests. I had no idea what the purpose of these tests were, but I do recall one really simple (math) question that I screwed up on because I knew the answer and it seemed so obvious. When we were given our result sheet after the battery of quizzes were completed, it put me under the "O" class. What it meant, I do not know. However, it did indicate that I was most tailored for a job at explaining what television shows were about. The job itself was rated to be B7, but I could potentially work my way up to an A3.

I was not really happy about the placement, more so because of my silly mistake that could have landed me in an "A" job. But those thoughts were dashed when the attacks came.

Some alien civilization was attacking the planet with their ships, and were taking out a lot of craft from the current rulers of the area. The Earth was currently under the control of yet another alien species, but an uprising on the planet had weakened their forces, leaving them open to invasion. This cycle had occurred before: the humans revolt and weaken the current rulers only to be invaded by another race who promptly take over.

I believe this was the seventh time. However, remnants of the previous six forces were still present and by now there were enough units for all the forces to fight each other constantly. The skies were literally full of UFOs blowing each other to bits. I was able to convince the renegades not to take part in this war and to build up a military force using whatever spare parts and junk that we could find. The invaders would be distracted by this ongoing war and not take notice of a few dilapidated ships disappearing. Old ships that were converted into buildings were also taken in and refitted with weapons to add to our fleet. Downed alien ships were also scavenged for parts for our growing arsenal. Once we had stockpiled enough material to outnumber the combined invasion force by ten to one, we would make our move.
