[12:45 AM EDT - BLJ level 1.]

Jokes tend to fly around our area of the office more often than pies at a clown party. The vast majority of them are usually fired off by Derelict, and when someone else makes a joke that was only a shave funnier than slapstick, we would classify it as a Derelict level joke. EK suggested that we should make up acronyms so it would sound cool, make us seem important, confuse everyone else, and make it an in joke. So instead of calling it a Derelict level joke, we would call it a BLJ and try to classify how funny it was on the BLJ scale.

For example, GWG made a horrible pun that nobody laughed too, so I classified it as a level or category one BLJ. (There was some debate whether it equated to a GWJ or a JWJ, but I think we implicitly agreed that it was under the class of GWJs.) A joke that would make the whole office roll around laughing on the floor would be a level ten BLJ. Those appear very infrequently, mostly because our office is rarely full.

We shall see how long this lasts.

[11:06 AM EDT - She was only twelve.]

The story that I was actually looking for was about a thirteen year old girl who was charged with murdering her family. What the heck?!? I found out about it yesterday when I was looking at the paper at my parent's place. My radio has been on the blitz because the batteries are dying so I have not been getting much news in the morning.
