[10:36 PM EDT - I draw the line at twenty-eight.]

That did not quite rhyme, but I really could not wait until the thermostat read twenty-nine. This is the second time this year that I have seen my thermostat read twenty-eight degrees, and coupled with the extreme humidity figured that it was time to turn on the air conditioning.

It was supposed to rain today with thunder showers (seventy percent actually), but the day turned out to be mostly dry for my commute. The only moisture was hanging in the air, and none of that seemed to want to condense anytime soon.

This afternoon I went outside for lunch at high (standard) noon. The funny thing was that the thirty-three degree heat did not bother me too much, nor did the scorching sun when it broke through the clouds, nor the stifling humidity which made the shade feel like it was forty-five degrees. No, the heat did not get to me. It was my knee.

The walk from the office building to Johnny's burgers turned into one of the hardest exercises that I have done in a long time. I just could not find any sort of gait that did not result in some sort of pain. I'm thinking that the injury that I sustained last year caused me to change my gait, and that caused the progressive deterioration of my knee.

Ah well, I will get it checked out later.

This also leads me to the strange dream where I had trouble doing something with my legs, and it was because my legs had atrophied so much that I could wrap my hand around most of my thigh.

What would I do if I lost the ability to walk?
