[9:25 AM EDT - Not all that hot.]

The weather has been sweltering these past few days. Me on the other hand have not been feeling so good.

[10:02 AM EDT - Much better.]

I think it might have been something I ate, but I have not had a very good appetite in the past week or so. This kind of sucked because I had wings last night and all you can eat sushi the night before.

In any case, I should write down all this stuff before I get stuck with too much work.

[10:11 AM EDT - Driving Conditions: Oil or water?]

These past few days have highlighted a major issue when I ride to work: oil on the road. A little bit of oil on my tire could cause me to lose traction and control of the bike. Cars have less of an issue because there are four tires that contact the ground, and losing two is not fatal. Losing one tire on a bike is pretty much a guaranteed crash.

Now I am pretty sure that everyone and their dog has their air conditioners running at full power in their vehicles, and this tends to generate a lot of condensation which ends up falling onto the road. Unfortunately from my vantage point, I cannot really tell if there is water in front of me or oil so I try to avoid every wet spot that I see.

When the road is littered with spots, it makes riding a lot more difficult.

[10:13 AM EDT - A small spot.]

Apparently there is a small parking spot in the garage which I may be able to use for my motorcycle.

[11:30 PM EDT - Wrong spot.]

I went to check out that parking spot again when I got home and realized that it was behind another parking spot which was sideways. Because that spot is actually connected to another spot next to the spot I was looking at, the open area was actually enclosed and could potentially be blocked in.

I guess there is no magic bullet for parking my bike. I did take a tour of the garage and only found one potentially useful spot for my bike that was not too in the way.

[11:34 PM EDT - Badminton wedding.]

I went to badminton after work today but I forgot my wrist brace. However, I have been going fairly easy on my wrist for quite some time now, and it seems to have gained a lot more strength. It also did not hurt when I semi-smashed the bird, which is better than before when my wrist hurt when I tapped the bird.

I also got invited to Madelaine's wedding.

[11:51 PM EDT - I hit my limit.]

I also forgot something: It was hot. I thought that we were having a heat wave, since I believed that a heat wave was defined as three consecutive days of hot weather where the daily high reached thirty degrees but apparently I was wrong: The definition of a heat wave was three consecutive days where the maximum shade temperature hits 32.2 degrees. So I was off by a few degrees. We still had the heat wave from the 25th to the 27th.

It was hot and humid outside, which made traveling around quite bothersome. The risk of thunder storms kept me from taking my motorcycle, although I never did get hit by rain. When I got home, the apartment was warm (although cooler than the hallway). I took a look at the thermostat and saw that the reading had finally changed. It was no longer reading twenty-seven degrees. It was reading twenty-eight.

I broke down and turned on the air conditioning. It is now a nice twenty-four degrees.
